I have played cracked older version of mhwi and now i bought the steam version and i wasn't able to transfer my save files by using the mhw savetool and hxd. i followed every step, still its not working for me. I have 60 hrs played on that save so it would be unfortunate to lose it. Versions were 15.11.01 and 15.21.00. I would be glad if you help.
Not using this tool. You need to launch the iceborne game and it will 'upgrade' your existing vanilla save into an iceborne save. For this to work the steamid needs to match with the owner of the game. If needed you can download an old version of this tool to change your old/vanilla steamid -> launch iceborne and it'll upgrade your savegame.
i played the old version and now instaild the ice born one but i have problem when try to use the tool when i use the new version it said this looks like pre ice borne save date and when i use the old one the game crash any help
Oh I released a new version. Nexusmods usually flags my files for a virus, but it was fine this time. Well I guess it wasn't. The older version is still downloadable from the 'old files' under files. I'll mail the staff to get the newest version working as well. E: Should be fixed now.

Your savedata is in the SAVEDATA1000 file, which I can't see in your file explorer. It could be that it is saved in a different steam account. The thing you censored is your steamId, so your savedata might be in one of the other folders under userdata.
