This was the save file I used when starting my PC save, so thanks for that. I know this isn't your fault, but I have noticed that if you use the save editor everything works fine initially. However, once you take the save into Iceborne, and at least since the Kulve update 13.50, the save editor now no longer loads your save's information correctly at all and is unusable. Still, thanks for the Iceborne ready save file :) just wish I didn't screw up my HR exp number before hand.
I've been trying to get it to work to play Iceborne but every time I load it I get a "Failed to load keyboard setting presets. Data is corrupt" error. Not sure what's going on. Followed the directions to a T.
Edit: Realized that the game was just caught on something. I let it sit for a few mins after the error message and then it started no problem. Haven't had any issues since although I haven't started Iceborne yet.
So I changed my HR to match my HR from PS4 and granted I have to do all the quests still it allowed me to do the two mid break hr cap quests. However I have realized that now after doing quests I don't gain any XP. I noticed in the save editor there is a spot for total XP Am I not gaining any XP because that counter is trying to build up to my current level?
That happens when you change the HR without also changing your total XP. You're still gaining XP but you're probably so far from the amount you need to go to the next level that it's difficult to notice that your bar is updating. If you want to change your HR, the safest way to do it is by giving yourself more XP and going into a quest to force the game to update your HR. As a reference, you need about 4020 HR points to level up after HR100 (HR50?), so you could start by adding 4020 * the number of HR levels you want to gain and increasing/decreasing it as needed from there

I saw below about someone asking if this would work with another save file, I see in the steam folders there's only the one and if you open up the file with MHW Editor you can choose slots but it's not exactly saving the other slot like the first one. Does this mod only work with the first initial slot in the game?
hi!! i was wondering about the experience gain in Hunters rank. im trying to recreate my save file but oddly enough when i put it back to HR 105, i have tried adjusting the experience to a very little amount and i have also tried a very large amount of exp. Yet once i go into game and i try do a quest, i never gain HR exp and it never changes. Any idea as to why?
