i hope, you enjoy this mod c:
    2. I must thank you of course! I do have a problem with the audio not playing, perhaps I exported the files wrongfully? Eh? As the theme normally plays with AT Velkhana and not Nay the honor.

you just need to have in your "NativePC" folder the folder with the name "sounds" of the mod
    4. Thanks so much! It worked!
    5. Hello again! I must thank ye again for making this mod! Howbeit, I stumbled upon another issue when I got a new PC. I tried putting the files into the sound files but it didn't work; is there a way to fix that? Or perhaps Im faulty upon how I downloaded it? I use 7-zip.

by the way, which tool did you use to replace the audio files? also how can you find the exact file for the monster's ost? i've been trying to create a audio mod myself but i can't really listen to these "wem" files

I'm not the author, but I also did some audio modding for myself in this game about a year or more ago, because that one Spring festival music in the Seliana Hub and the Alatreon theme annoyed me so much, so I replaced them myself, because I couldn't find any suitable mods on here.

Maybe I can answer your questions:
which tool did you use to replace the audio files?
You can use two methods to change audio files. The easier one is to simply replace the file within the audio container. This is done by extracting the .wems and replace the file with wwiseutil (MHW Audio Modding Tool here on Nexus). That's what this mod author here probably did. You replace one file in a container and inject the whole altered container into the game again via native folder. This method is good, if you want to introduce external music converted to .wem that is not in one of the game files yet.

The second method relies on changing multiple lines of code. Because you can edit the control file that tells the game when to play which file of music for how long and with which loop points (time triggers where the music loops in a fight). This is more elegant, but also very tricky. Especially loop points is one thing that is very hard to get right from code alone, but it can be done! It is advisable to keep a note file to keep track of all the number values that you have to change.

The difference? File size and control/implementation quality. This mod here is 91mb for a change of one, maybe two pieces of music (e.g. the fight music and the mounted music layer). The control file is under 1mb in size. And, if I understood correctly the author struggled with the loop points. These don't change, if you simply replace the file. You have to manually adjust these for the new file. Which is why imo, changing stuff in the control file is the better option, even though it's more complicated. All values are there already, you need to keep track of them.

also how can you find the exact file for the monster's ost?
There exists a spreadsheet. You can find the link for it on instruction Github page from the MHW Audio Modding Tool Nexus page I linked above.

but i can't really listen to these "wem" files
That is something I found in a different link about sound modding in MHW: there is a plugin for a media player called foobar2000 that allows you to playback .wems

Oh and also here is a link for Audio Loop Editing. As I said, it's complicated, but it is totally doable still for unexperienced modders without programming experience like myself.

      Hope this helps someone :)

Thanks for all the tips and help! :)

i sucessfully did all of these, besides the looping yet, because i am encountering an error, i am trying to make a fatalis ost too, but once the 2nd phase starts everything goes silent for some reason, whenever the phases changes the ost won't, and instead it will be complete silence.

sorry for the late reply, probably you need to change the 3 different themes of each phase

Haven't been playing for some time but thank for this mod anyway. This awesome sound track is criminally underused in the base game.
