The new kinsect I bought couldn't be equipped because I didn't have any insect glaive weapons. This means that the insect glaive cannot be forged and the game will crash.
This was my fault because I uncrafted a basic weapon that I hadn't used at that time. even though I wanted to use the insect glaive.
I'm interested in the "Duplicate character slots." part of this mod since I have always wanted to have another hunter with the opposite gender. I had a question though if anyone happens to know.
If you duplicate a slot, does the game see it as a new character? So for instance if I sent a guild card on that new character to someone that had my other characters guild card, would there be two separate guild cards or would my guild card constantly switch between to two depending on the last character I used?
I seem to remember it being separate in my testing.
Digging up the notes, the person who helped test this, having done some hunts on the new slot. The guild card he'd sent me were still reflecting the old values. So you would need to resend your guild card to people for them to have the new info. It would be very helpful to know what the game uses to lookup the guild cards.
So just so I understand correctly, if I resend the guild card with the new info, name, etc, the person would have two separate guild cards for the two different characters? Or would they just see my original character when opening the guild card despite the character being changed/on slot two?
So I tested this now, and sending the new guild card didn't even register on the buddies side. When I tested last time I'd used the save switch, this time I used the duplicate. So it's quite possible they would be the same in that case.
uhm question, i have ~ 600 chargeblade hunts and only chargeblade except 2 heavy bow gun hunts, and i really really wish i could get rid of those from my guild card... i thought i could maybe edit it in the save itself but thats encrypted so... is it possible to edit my guildcard with this save editor? it didn't seem like a could from the provided images
If you're comfortable with hex, you can use the save editor to decrypt the save, edit it in there using the 010 Editor templates. From there you'd just need to overwrite the save again and it will encrypt it for you.
It can be changed using Marcus' Tables, linked at the bottom of the description. Although I have implemented this in development. I'm considering doing a minor release for these quality of life changes to reach the community.
Anyone given themselves the Silver Knight armor and played yet? I want to get it, but it's the only one that makes me think I could get banned for since you have to actually pay for it
EDIT: Been playing for a few days, nothing happened so far. Will update if that changes :)
I'm likely wrong about this but it might have been an issue if they were still using denuvo or any other form of anti-cheat/anti-tamper. Since afaik world doesn't have those anymore it might not be a problem.
So my my brother has been playing on my MHW and finally bought the game for himself, but he doesn't want to restart as he is rank 200+. Is it possible to have his data transferred to his own account through this software? or is there another software i should use. please thanks
Yes. just open the program, go under file > open save location > copy the "SAVEDATA1000" file and paste into same location where account is changed. Then syncronize steam cloud and done :)
We have the same problem but this solution didn't work for us. We've also tried to change the steam id but nothing appened. Any other suggestion pls? :(
I'm working on a change to switch accounts in the editor. Since the saves are stored per Steam user, there can be multiple places where there are save files. In future, the editor will let you select which profile you want to use.
So I noticed it's not saving my armor/weapons that I've crafted. I made sure to read the FAQ, and I'm not saving over a backup of my file. Is it possible that I'm just doing too much at once?
Make sure the edited changes are being loaded in the game. If the game is open while you're editing the changes won't reflect unless you either: - Restart the game completely - Exit to menu without saving.

Can anyone fix this without having to restore it?
I want to do a minor release for this bug to finally be done with.
For now, if you buy a Kinsect and select it then it should allow you to forge Insect Glaives again.

But this should be something added to the UI.

I'd done these changes before the update removing Denuvo.
