Is there anyway to change her skin tone to a lighter one? She looks tanned in this. Also, I am still looking for a way to replace the handler model to those of Hub Lass, can you advise on that?
Hi. I played around with switching models a bit, and I've sucessfully swapped the handler with most of the NPC modles, however they all share one vital problem: game crashes when you interract with the handler :P. I believe the problem is that the game tries to load the model for the book (which only the handler models have), and when it doesn't find it: boom. I haven't been following the modding community a whole lot for a while, so I'm not sure if people have found a way to circumvent this (perhaps a model editor that you can incule the book with would solve the issue).
As for changing the handler's skintone, I'm not sure. I'm really just a noobie that played with moving around files and editing textures. The handler's files are located in the folder titled npc002, which contains model files, face model/tetxure files, and hari model/texture files. Now that I think about it, I do think I remember seeing the texture file used for handler outfit and skin, which I tried messing with but to no avail? I don't completely remember, but I advice you to just mess around with the files, converting .tex files to .dds and looking at them to figure out what's what! I wish you the best of luck, and apologize for not being of much help.
Can't seem to get the swimsuit parts to work, I put both the orignal file and the swimsuit files in the npc002 folder as with the usual handler edits but nothing updates or works, she's still wearing her halloween outfit :(
Is there an easy way to use the swimsuit skin for the handler without the modified quest book? I like the skin, but the book seems super low resolution/texture when I pull up the quest screen.
Hey, fabledgumbo. It is possible, yes, however I've not managed to convert the texture that changes the book color to dds. Something something I have to modify the header in a hex editor, but switching between DXT1 and DX10 failed miserably. I'm not really sure how to do that, sadly. I'd love to learn, but I can't find any place where people discuss their findings and methods extensively in this game. That being said, I do feel like I progress my understanding each time I mess around with the files, and I hope I'll figure it out soon. If I do, I'll retexture it and upload as an optional file, and reply to this comment again.
I originally just moved files around, (the mod just replaces her face texture with another NPCs face texture), however I liked your idea of removing the tattoo, so I tried my best at filling in the red spots with skin color, and I think it worked out alright! Uploaded the alternative skin to this mod's optional files: https://www.nexusmods.com/monsterhunterworld/mods/53?tab=files SInce you alreday have the base mod, installing the alternative skin means you'll be prompted to replace files, just click yes. That'll delete the old texture, and replace it with the new.
I saw that you were looking for the original uploader of the swimsuit handler mod. Just so you don't go crazy, I wanted to let you know that I had that mod bookmarked, and when I checked the bookmark it says that the mod was deleted. So I believe yours is the only one up now.
Haha, looks like I accidentally included an experimental tetxure in which the Handler has another eye socket on her cheek ^^. You can delete the file titled "npc002_face_BM.tex" from the Summer Outfit mod, or redownload it from this site, as I've now reuploaded it without the additional face texture. Thanks for pointing out the issue!
