Version 4.0.0 is here! Fatalis has arrived and the final major content for Iceborne has been released, and with it a slew of new items. They say all good things must come to an end. Happy hunting!
I've been seeing a lot of similar questions, and I know it can be cumbersome to search through the comments so I am stickying this FAQ to direct people to. More will be added as needed.
FAQ: Q: What is Stracker's Loader? A: Stracker's Loader forces the game to hook back into the nativePC folder, allowing us to use it once again.
Q: How do I use old shop list files? A: Simply load the shop list with v3.0.0+ and save it again to convert it to the new format for Iceborne.
Q: What is this? A: This is an application to create a modified shop list file, in order to customize the items found in the in-game Stockpile Provisions shop.
Q: How do I use this? A: There is a readme inside the zip with the application
Q: Mod doesn't work A: Tl;dr you are doing it wrong. Contrary to popular belief, I do test this before releasing it and I do use it myself. If it broke, it'd affect me too. Double check file name and path. The file name should be "shopList.slt" while the file path is "MHW Folder\nativePC\common\facility"
Q: How do KT weapons work? A: KT weapons are pretty simple. Buy however many to your box, complete a KT siege, appraise like you would normal rewards. There will be multiple pages to sift through depending on how many you get.
Q: Why is my KT appraisal box empty? (KT item softlock) A: This is believed to be caused by purchasing KT weapons while having unclaimed rewards from a completed KT siege. Another user mentioned being able to work around this by appraising items one at a time, instead of all at once with the button. Best way to prevent this is to not buy weapons between completing a siege and claiming rewards. Buy first, KT second.
Q: Why isn't x item in yet? A: First, check if it is even available on PC yet. PC is not at the same place as console, and does not have all the items yet. Items are normally introduced a few weeks before they become accessible anyways, so if a game update just came out don't get impatient. If you really can't wait, try adding the "Item ###" items to your list as it will almost guaranteed be there.
Q: Can I buy endemic life? A: Yes and no. You can buy endemic life, but it doesn't count towards research points, achievements or pets. They just fill up box slots.
Q: What about streamstones/feystones? A: These work a lot better than endemic life. Buy to your pouch, *NOT* your box, and go on an investigation or mission. When you return, the items will be in the appraisal box like normal.
Q: Can I unlock stuff early with this? A: Capcom introduced a new detection method with AT Namielle to detect items in your save that are unreleased and block you from going online. Wait until you've obtained at least one of the item naturally before buying more.
Q: Why is text/price/information messed up or unavailable (*For implemented items*)? A: This has to do with another mod you are using not being updated and replacing the item's data with either old info or nothing at all.
Q: Why did things break when I put on x armor/weapon? A: If you put on armor or weapons that have not been released yet, there is a good chance something it needs isn't in the game yet. Wait until stuff gets released to cheat it in.
It's a game limitation, with this app/mod you craft a custom item list with a limit of 255 to replace the games current shop list, which is bound by that limit. There will be only one item list file, and multiple cannot be loaded at one time.
Works fine for me. Are you sure you're putting the file it creates into the right folder? It needs to go into NativePC/common/facility, you need to create this folder if it doesn't exist. You also need Stacker's Loader for this mod to even work. https://www.nexusmods.com/monsterhunterworld/mods/1982
