ok so i found out that renaming the GS versions files will result in no textures, to fix this you would need to create a new folder for the weapon you wanted it to replace and move the .mod3 and mrl3 files here and renaming them to match the new folder
i wanted it to replace the guild palace greatsword (two026)
Example of the new folder path: nativePC > wp > two > two026 > mod
just change "two026" to what ever greatsword you want to replace
keep the original folder with its .tex and .evwp files with their original names and the model should have its textures
to clarify, download the updated one so you can just easily rename the weapon folder and its contents to weapon of your choice without having problem with the texture
