Why not just use armor transmog? I also believe this is based on local files, thus not seen by others. Neat mod, however, compared to what we already have, it's only a downgrade :/
This is useful to whom doesn't use the transmog because just downloading is simpler than extracting the chunk files. Don't assume other people think like you. people are different.
