First of all, I LOVE THIS MOD i've been playing FFXIV before Heavensward released and i stayed a DKR Main ever since. This Mod combined with the Deathbringer is the most pleasefull thing i saw all year! absolutely amazing!
i only have 1 thing... i dont like that it's on the Hornetaur Armor. There is a Comment about changing the Armor it has been put on by changing the File Names to the correct Armor ID. I've done that a couple of times now with different armors in all categorys MR/HR/LR but literaly everywhere the textures completely break. the waist is glowing like the sun itself, the rest looks like crystal etc. how do you fix that for like odogaron armor etc.? i can't figure it out.
So I know it might be too late but if you're trying to change the IDs to match whatever armour set you want it to be on instead of the Hornetaur set and it's not working, you have to:
Install the mod as normal
Make a copy of the mod files
Change the IDs in the file names of the copied files to match the desired armour set, as you would have done before
I kinda figured this out by pure accident because I didn't have any issues originally. It wasn't until I decided to look through my mods and deleted the original mod files which apply to the Hornetaur set, thinking that it would be alright as long as I had the files for the armour I wanted, just to load the game up and see my textures were broke and the waist was glowing.
So hopefully that helps you and anyone else still trying to change the armour this mod applies to.
My fix: Delete the f_slinger file in the arm folder of the armor Intall the horneatur part of this mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/monsterhunterworld/mods/664/?tab=files Then delete the .evam and the .ctc files also at the arm folder of the mod It worked for me
you can change it yourself: just rename everything. Go into the NativePC folder, find the files from this mod (in folder "pl" then "M_equip") then find the folder named something like "pl029_0101" (for this mod i think it's pl017_0000, which it the horneater ID) Change the number of the folder and EVERY file inside it (but not the subfolders: just the MOD3, MRL3, and stuff like that that is IN them) to match the ID code for ruinous beta (which i tried to look up and i think it's 030_0510. might want to back up your stuff, just in case). I've done it several times and it's takes some time (you'll be changing the names of about 20 different things and if you miss one it might all break) but it works like a dream.
If that sounds like too much trouble, just go make the horneater layered armor at the smithy: you should have unlocked it long before MR nergi armor anyways.
whenever i change all of numbers for the armor IDs, the textures get all messed up. Are there some files I shouldn't be changing? (i know not to change folder names such as arms, legs, mods, etc unless they have the armor ID in it). ie i tried to change it to drachen armor, 073_0000, replaced every 017_0000 with it and while it did replace the drachen with the mod, all of the textures broke.
edit: ive fixed it. for whatever reason the drachen armor just causes you to loose textures on the helmet. so i've set it to odagaron and its working
Fantastic work, probably my favourite mod up to now downloaded and endorsed! Been waiting for someone to make a DK Armor mod lol, have you considered making a mod for the newest artifact armour and weapon from shadowbringers?

TLDR; Keep the original files as well.
with this, u don't have to store as much as files u don't need, although with that easiest way the mods look perfect tho.
As a DRK in FF14 myself, I think I just found a new favorite mod.
Edit: managed to fix it, the slinger was using the legiana armor id instead
Delete the f_slinger file in the arm folder of the armor
