Bro, I'd like to know if you can by any chance make a similar mod, but for target investigation. It is always a pain in the ass when we have to find a certain monster. I don't understand why it isn't in alphabetical order (capcom crazyness) Anyways, great mod <3
I love this mod, Please expand this mod to include things like shop items and guild card callouts. Anything that has a massive list of things that isnt alphebetized.
Doesn't seem to be working in latest patch. The first few pages are sorted, then halfway through it gets all mixed up again. Damn shame. Someone please update this mod.
It works just fine with the latest patch. It doesn't need updating. Item data (what this edits) has not been updated since 2020-12-03, and this was last updated a day after that.
So if you've got text issues, I'd look at mods altering the text files directly because this is 100% up to date.
EDIT I FOUND OUT PROBLEM (but for polish version idk about theothers) "Synthlight" "For other languages you can grab MHW Editor, open the file, change the language, and press resort. It works in theory, but I don't know any other languages to verify the results."
The polish version puts them into alphabetcal order but in english nomenclature if this makes sesne
when in english version there is : 1Antiblast jewel 2Antidote... 3Blaze... 4Crisis... (which is in order)

This isn't sorted by skill in any way. It's sorted by gem name. I may add skill sorting at some point, but probably by primary skill since a good chunk don't have secondary skills.
Is there a way you could make it so the list in the in-game "sort by skill" tab thing is alphabetized?
I almost never just look through my gems without sorting by a specific skill and since the game already has a sort function I figure it'd be easier to just make it so the list on the skill sort function is alphabetized.
I'll probably still use this mod but adding that would make it leagues better for me!
No. It's hard-coded in the exe somewhere. Or maybe it just sorts by skill ID which I can't change either. Either way, no.

See, what I've altered in the sort column of the item data; an external file easy to modify. What you reference isn't actually in the data files at all but rather in the exe. Which means finding the correct assembly code involved and altering that. Not as easy as I make it sound either.
Thanks for trying and I will use this mod to see if it helps thought my pain. Man, the guy that thought it wold be a good ideia to sorte those gems and the skills out of alphabetical order is the true Monster to be hunted hahaha
MHW doesn't load or do anything with json. The json is for "MHW Editor", so you can edit your itemData.itm and import the json changes onto your other file, then save. (Essentially merging the two.)
In order for this to work, I have to know what string all gems share in common to identify them. And I don't read Korean or know what word to use. Please let me know what word (in your native language) is unique to all gem names to identify them as such. (A word that separates all gems from non-gems that I can search for.)
