Common causes of crashes I have noted: - Crash to desktop on startup - Check that you have the latest version of the loader - Check that you have the right version of the game - Try restarting steam
- Crash / Loading screen stuck *anytime* after that : Something is wrong with the mods you have installed, check the contents of your nativePC folder
- As of version 4.0 of the loader, the loader should stay compatible through minor updates, but I do keep an eye occasionally open for mhw updates just in case.
My Game loads but crashes after a bit using Stackers loader.
@bobby01y Read the pinned post. Not caused by Stracker's. Either one of your mods, or recent Nvidia GPU drivers seems to be a problem.
Same here, its not even loaded
@joywilly1997 You write "same here" and then immediately describe something different. Posting a different issue to the same thread makes it harder to help either of you.
I've done some testing and found that the game starts crashing if you have more than 52 skills total equipped. Multiple set skills, which often have 2 entries inside the game's skill list, are not an issue, as long as you stay under 53 total.
Is there some way to counter this, maybe with this mod? It seems to be a memory corruption or stack overflow issue or something like that. And since this mod modifies the game's memory I thought it might be able to do something about it. But I'm no programmer, so I can't do much myself in that regard.
Considering the implications for multiplayer (potentially crashing other players), and the ease of simply editing existing skills or stats to achieve the same result as adding more skills, nobody is going to make this or release it.
I wasn't expecting anything really. Just trying to see if it might be possible to overcome this limitation at all.
But you mentioned that we can already edit existing skills to achieve the same result. What exactly did you mean by that? Can you combine the effects of different skills? Basically creating new set skills, as those tend to have multiple effects combined? So far all I've seen is the ability to max out skills by investing just 1 point in them. And adding more skills to any gear. But 52 total equipped skills is the limit, whether they are lv1 or 7.
Most skills are just +number which you can simplify to fewer skills or add to player/weapon. Conditional +number skills can be simplified to average/effective +number. Are there 52 unique, not +number, combat skills that are useful at the same time on one weapon?
Even if there are, I'm still not sympathetic to wanting all of them. At some point it's meaningless; instead of having 10 different defensive skills you might as well give yourself the equivalent EHP in HP/defence.
So I take it you can't combine skills after all. I'm not sure what exactly you mean by "+number skills". Skills with multiple levels? As I'm sure you're aware not all skills provide stat boosts to attack or defense. There's plenty of skills that you can't replace by just modifying your stats. Though by now I know that you can with many of them.
Still, there are way more than 52 skills in the game. But I didn't really come here to discuss whether it's worth having them all or not anyway.

You should ask the author of that guide. It's impossible for anyone here to guess which mods you installed, and this is not a help desk for other mods.
If you're crashing with ONLY this mod, then ask again with your system info.
If you wanna use mods safely, then look for a specific one you want or need and then try that one by itself. Instead of installing some whole package of mods that someone online has put together. Chances are some of those mods are outdated anyway because of the constant new updates that modern games get. So try one and see if it works. Then you can try another one if you need to. But the more you install, the more issues you're likely to get. And if you're not willing to deal with that, then you should not be messing with mods anyway.
Hello, I have a problem (bug ?) for a few days now
Context : Recently I changed my game language for Twitch live purposes (to french) Since I did the change, every time I boot my game it's taking a very long black screen (3~5min) that I didn't have before. I used ModOrganizer2 to load in the virtual folder my mods (it works without problems until I changed the language of the game)
Tests : The long black screen doesn't appear when I use no mod The long black screen doesn't appear when I don't use Stracker's Loader The long black screen doesn't appear if I have Stracker's Loader but without a mod using it The long black screen doesn't appear if I have mod using Stracker's Loader but no Stracker's Loader itself
Questions : Is this a known bug ? Is there an alternative version required for other languages than english ?
If you need anymore informations feel free to ask I'll do my best to debug things out
