IB broke the mod. Now that Hyperthermia (modding tool) exists, I will update this mod for Iceborne soon, hopefully by the end of this weekend but no guarantees.
Oh hell yea, the update looks great! The armor plate looks amazing with all the details and metallics added on, not to mention the black recolor
leaps ahead of where it was before and an awesome surprise update I wasn't expecting
any chance we could see the eye pieces on the helm stand out a bit more? :D
idk how to explain it, but it feels like they get smothered a lot by the lighting right now- like I often see it where one side gets hidden in shadow, the other side's barely visible because it's reflecting light too harshly. I was imagining they'd both, not exactly glow in the dark, but at least be more uniform in lighting and always be equally visible compared to the rest of the helmet
I understand if you're just totally done with the texture work at this point tho lol
Loving this mod, I've been hesitant to install a lotta mods but this one looked too cool for me to ignore :D
I had a couple tiny complaints tho, not sure if it'd be possible to address them?
The first is that color dyes seem to be applicable but they kinda overlay the entire texture and smother all the details - would it be possible to just make dyes not affect the armor? I'm using it to replace a non-layered armor and can't really use the high rank version cuz it has a dye applied to it by default
The second, much smaller gripe is that you can look upwards into the helmet from the bottom (during cutscenes for example) and see that it's... kinda like a flat shell? Like the hunter's face is mostly visible and the helmet seems to float around it like a separate plane. Idk if you could even fix that tho, I'd imagine the model just came from the mho game files that way
Though if we were to talk about making adjustments to the model/texture I'd love to see a chainmail neck covering of sorts
But either way, I already love the armor as it is. Really excited to see what those further texture touch ups you have planned for it are!
