Is this for Icebourne only cause I only just got the base game during a sale, came looking for interesting mods and saw a flamer mod and was like "WWWAAANNNNTTT!!" but I download, used the nmm to install and the mod doesn't work... :( Please help?
is there any way to make this a purely aesthetic change, and not affect the damage of Wyvernheart? i try my best to not have broken/god mods, or even mods that affect damage in any way, but i also REALLY like this mod.
My work on this mod is simple -- switch files' names. I don't have the knowledge to isolate the efx so far. But I'd like to see someone else get the job done! It could be you, you know.
Could you explain a bit more in detail which files you swap? How do you figure it out? I just got into modding and I'd like to try some combinations for myself to see what's possible. Also, I love using monster's attacks against them (for fun, when I'm SOLO and bored).
Have'nt seen a question asking this yet, but does it replace all H.B.G.'s or just the ones in the video? Looks great by the way first mod I've downloaded!
I don't think it's a damage buff. There does not seem to be a way to open the ".shlp" files (from what I've seen), which indicates that this is a file swap -- probably of Anjenath's flame breath. That is, the damage parameters have not be edited, and are fixed inside the files...
My advice (and something I'll try), is to limit the use of it to ONCE per large monster -- leaving it spamming to the grunts, which aren't a threat anyway. That way, it's total DPS over a monster fight will likely be less than Wyvernheart and Wyvernsnipe.
I really like this mod, as the Wyvernheart is a garbage weapon, and it's often placed on illogical weapon / skins (*the weapon modding tool can easily get around this Capcom screw-up, however)... That's why I might still try it and impose my own restrictions on its usage...
An excellent idea... It just that it's too overpowered. If the damage could be cut 33~50% of its default, it would be a perfect replacement for that rubbishy (and oft ill-assigned) machine gun special shot. I'm guessing, that this is the Anjenath's flame attack, re-purposed for weapon usage -- correct?... Which probably means that it is a file renaming / swap mod, and not a weapon parameter edit -- i.e., the damage output cannot be changed v_v
