My preset only look worst in night time with light sources near grasses cause them look unnatural highlighted, I couldn't figure out a way to balance because it's an acceptable trade-off for that kind of bright highlight will make those muddy environment/lighting (which occur like half of the game) so much better.

Slight increase black/contrast will make it look better in some areas, but shadows will look so bad and unnatural in some environments, especially Iceshard Cliff where you'll regularly fight Gore Magala which add another layer of darkness when it rage.

For future updates: As the game getting updates, it may breaks REFramework (especially big title updates), so if you crash after an update, rename/remove dxgi.dll and dinput8.dll, wait til REFramework get updated (usually very quick within one day, check their nightly github page).

TITLE UPDATE 1 IS OUT AND SO DOES REFRAMEWORK NIGHTLY UPDATE, REMEMBER TO UPDATE IT AND REMOVE OTHER MODS IF YOU RUN INTO PROBLEMS
  3. So installing this mod is just extracting the file at the steam game folder? I don't have to put all the files inside reframework file and autorun file?

Reshade is separate from REFramework, it only need reframework bypass to function.

Yeah, that's why it's experimental, this thing doesn't work the same on different screen/colorspace. You can try first two setting of the effect (input/output color space) to see if it works.

Yeah, nothing worked. Was hoping that the mod would help, as my screen is HDR but my game wont recognise it for some reason

The thing is that HDR add-on meant for non-HDR screen/game, If I'm not wrong it simulates HDR. Did you try my other presets?

for some reason this reshade has been causing a lot of crashes lately, especially on the newest version. I dunno if its the new REframework not playing nice with it or something else. I cant go 20 minutes without a crash. Its weird because i got it to work for 50 hours of playtime before. Is there potentially a problem that can occur with drivers? And yeah, ive been ruling out mods, it is only happening when this reshade is on.

i turned off Contrast adaptive sharpening and that seems to have done the trick, though it sucks not having it on now it made a world of difference for me for getting rid of the muddiness of the game. the sharpener that on by default works alright but seems to struggle with things further away.

My preset doesn't use CAS, it's luma sharpen by default now, maybe try sharpening from driver? Both AMD and Nvidia have their own sharpening settings

It's "enhancements", no typo here. Something wrong with your browser displaying the name?

When using this together with Disable Post Processing Effects should I turn off color correction? With color correction on everything looks more washed and less vibrant, unlike the screen shots. When turning it off everything is more vibrant but also darker and still doesn't look as good as the screen shots.

    I am not using HDR.

Don't turn off post processing effects like volumetric fog and ambient lighting, the game will look REALLY weird with them turned off - you can tweak them with a different mod tho.
I tried Disable Post Processing Effects, I would recommend enable those settings to keep default game looks: color correction, local exposure, blurred lumiance, volumetric fog. Probably god rays too.
Don't use custom brightness/contrast settings of it too

Game does not load after installing the mod, runs back without a problem once it's uninstalled
As far as I'm able to understand, there shouldn't really be any further installation other than REF and decompressing the files in the main folder.
Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Secondly, I am running on Linux Plasma, maybe that has to do with some malfunctioning?

Regardless, it seems I can't run this at the moment.

If you want me to send you the log, I'll be happy to.
In any case, this is the main and only error occurring:

    "17:31:14:197 [  636] | ERROR | Failed to compile 'Z:\run\media\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\MonsterHunterWilds\reshade-shaders\Shaders\AstrayFX\Smart_Sharp.fx':
error: F__Out: <anonymous>:296:13: E5017: Aborting due to not yet implemented feature: Unhandled attribute 'fastopt'.
    <anonymous>:672:1: W5305: Unhandled attribute 'branch'."

    Best regards :)

I don't use Linux so I can't be sure what cause the problem, may be try delete smart_sharp.fx? My preset only use LumaSharpen, qUint LightRoom, and pd80 FilmicAdaption.

If it's REFramework/Reshade doesn't work on your system then you need to search for someway to use it or something alternative for Linux, the game/mods were made for windows. There are many things could go wrong on different operating system.

Thank you, it works perfectly well with a 4060 dlss 4balanced, a little touch-up of the HDR in fact in the menu on the OLED screen, the rendering is really beautiful.

The game screen is too yellow, so I would like to add a COLOR MATRIX here, is that possible?

Is it Color Matrix in reshade? You're free to try and adjust to your liking on your own, I think lightroom.fx already included most common color filter people might use, including change color temperature and tint, the colors may look weird in different lighting/weather when you overdone a specific aspect with color/filter tho.

Also are you using HDR? can you give an image example about "too yellow"?

      Please forget what I said...
Yesterday it looked so yellow, but when I looked again it wasn't like that at all.
      This mod is really cool!
