I can not get this to work. what am I doing wrong here. Placed in Fluffy Manager and turned on. No other item mods. Only mods I have are appearance and armor mods.
I will list the the full complete step in case you haven't install Fluffy and REframework, feel free to skip any step that u did before
Download and Install both Fluffy Mod Manager AND REframework (follow the directions).
With REframework installed, run the game once.
You will see REframework window open in-game, wait until it properly loaded and go to ">LooseFileLoader". Click it and Check [ ] Enable.
Close the game.
Run Fluffy Mod Manager
Choose "Monster Hunter Wilds"
Probabaly wont find the game folder automatically so you press "Choose game folder" > "Choose the game's install folder." "......>SteamLibrary > steamapps > common > MonsterHunterWilds" ; "Select Folder"
Close "Fluffy Mod Manager"
Open "Fluffy Mod Manager" folder. There should be new Folder "Games"
Go to Fluffy Mod Manager > Games > MonsterHunterWilds > Mods . Drop the ZIP File here
Open "Fluffy Mod Manager"
The mod you just drop should appear and you just click the switches on the right to activate it.
i literally followed these EXACT steps but i dont think the mod is working since if i set down my shock trap it removes it from my bag with no replacement. Also is it suppose to make me reenable to loose file loader every time i launch the game?
The trap still get used unless you pick the infinite one. The 4 n 4 make u bring 4 trap each instead of 1 at a time.
The Loose File Loader only need to turn on once in my experience. This also show that the REFramework is work on your end. Maybe problem with the Fluffy Mod Manager ?
EDIT : since I saw many REframework update I will try to check mi files. also did u run Fluffy Mod Manager with Admin?
1. No i didnt run it as admin (will try again and check back) 2. Is the RE Framework mod not supposed to be in the mod list as well? 3. Where would the infinite trap be located? Does it automatically show up in the bag or do i need to grab it from box?
EDIT: yea tried running as admin and did the 4+4 file instead but i can still only carry 1 of each so im assuming it isnt working. Also if it some how helps any, i am able to get the "skip pouch replace prompt" and the "auto cooldown mantle" mods working but i dont think the require the loosefileloader stuff
I also had a similar experience, but I found a way to solve it, hopefully it solves your problem too.
I'll try to break it down as smoothly as I can.
1. Go to SteamLibrary > steamapps > common > MonsterHunterWilds 2. Next you should be able to see 2 folders called "MANY TRAPS" (Depending which file u downloaded, I've only downloaded the 4 + 4, so idk if the other files had this problem) and "natives" 3. Now open another path to "SteamLibrary > steamapps > common > MonsterHunterWilds" so you can open both folders in step 2 4. When you open both folders, they have a similar path until you hit common. 5. You want to drag the "Item" folder from "MANY TRAPS" into the "natives" folder in "Common"
You can delete the "MANY TRAPS" folder as well since there's no need for it anymore.
2+3 REFramework isnt suppose in the mod list. I feel you didnt install properly :3? For REframework you put the .dll into the MHWilds installation ( "......>SteamLibrary > steamapps > common > MonsterHunterWilds"). When u start the game after you put the dll file you will have pop-up (REframework control panel) in game and you expand "LooseFileLoader" and check "Enable Loose File Loader".
@RealisticBae : Yeee you can do this way too (manual way). The problem with this method is when you want to remove the mods, you need to manually replace the mod file with original file. While using Fluffy Mod Manager is more contained.
@RealisticBae I will try this a little later... To be clear you are saying to do this
MHW -> Many Traps -> Natives -> STM -> GameDesign -> Common -> Items (<- take this folder) and place into MHW -> Natives -> STM -> GameDesign -> Player -> ActionData -> Common (<- place it here, where there is also a globalparam folder)
I didn't have "Player -> Actiondata" as I had after GameDesign was "Common" and other folders but yes you just wanna put the "Items" folder into the "Common"
That's how I got mine to work.
I did install it with FMM and I did have it ticked on but when I go in game it was still maxed to "1". That's how I found this solution, because I had no problems with other mods installing them, so I went to go see if this mod was actually installed in my directory and that's how I saw that the mod had it's own folder in the directory but outside the natives folder while the other mods were already placed properly in the natives folder, so I just manually placed it in the natives folder and it's working for me now.
Ah I found the problem. It's how the zip file being zipped which make its own folder then it put the content of the folder which messed up the structure... will reupload all files. Thank you for pointing this out :3
Is it possible to add in the unlimited version to place unlimited traps aswell? So that there is no cap that I can place just one trap much more to have unlimited traps an place unlimited traps that would be fun
I believe place unlimited trap is possible using cheat engine and it isn't what this mods all about. So I wont be covering it unless it conflict with this mods.
Any possibility you could merge Infinite Cooking Ingredients (https://www.nexusmods.com/monsterhunterwilds/mods/347?tab=description) with your Infinite Traps? If not, that's fine. Not trying to be annoying, just wanna use both lol
Ah. Well, lots of other mods already do that. I was trying to find someone who could do a lua mod to allow placing multiple zappies and 3+ bombs at once. Every previous MH game has had integer values for the number of traps and bombs placed on the field by a player at once (one integer for traps, one for bombs). Locking that integer down at 0 enabled infinite traps / bombs to be placed. I sorted it out with Cheat Engine every previous time, but CE and Wilds don't really play nice together from what I've seen.

The correct zip file will have "native" folder on the first directory when you open the zip file.
"......>SteamLibrary > steamapps > common > MonsterHunterWilds" ; "Select Folder"

So the mod that you want to install is listed there and the box switch is moved to the right (on)?
2. Is the RE Framework mod not supposed to be in the mod list as well?
3. Where would the infinite trap be located? Does it automatically show up in the bag or do i need to grab it from box?

That should be able to fix it. Hope it helps!

hmm.. about your other mods
1. are they Loose File mods?
2. If so are you using Fluffy Mod Manager?

Same for Barrel Bombs...
This mod is for less trip to camp to restock the trap itself.
