Classic Monster Hunter SFX
by CopperCanister
v1.1.0
Items
This mod will gradually change most of the game’s SFX to their classic versions. Each update will focus on different parts of the game. Feedback is appreciated.
This version is for the classic items sounds. Some items such as traps have not been changed yet.
v1.1.0 Changelog
- Fixed UI volume not being changed to be closer to the original UI and rest of the game's volume.
- Added classic item & player action sounds for:
-- Consuming item & healing
-- Weapon sharpening
-- Bombs
-- Carving monsters
-- Mining hit
- Reverted sticker post sounds to the originals.
- Added some UI notification sounds for catching fish & other misc things.
- Changed some sounds for the quest end UI.
Please give any feedback and let me know of any UI sounds that haven't been changed yet. While there's some I'm aware of that I plan to do next, there's many others that I haven't been able to find in-game yet.
Installation
1) Use Fluffy's Mod Manager with REFramework, place downloaded .zip in Game > MonsterHunterWilds > Mods
2) Open FMM, enable the mod in the list, launch game.
OR
1) Use REFramework, and place the mod's "natives" folder in the MonsterHunterWilds installation directory*
*In Steam, right-click Monster Hunter Wilds > Properties; go to "Installed Files" tab; click "Browse..." on top-right.
2) Open the game, the REFramework window should appear in the corner (if not press "Insert" on the keyboard).
2.1) In the REFramework window, open the "LooseFileLoader" drop-down, and click "Enable Loose File Loader".
2.2) Additionally, open the "Configuration" drop-down and click "Remember Menu Open/Closed State" to keep the REFramework window closed by default.
2.3) SAVE these settings by closing the REFramework window with "Insert" or the X on the top-right. If you exit the game without closing the REFramework window, it will not save the settings.
3) Restart the game, and you're done.
To use alternate banks, remove the [bracketed_section] from the filename, then drag into and replace the file in:
natives > STM > Sound > Wwise
