Would you perhaps be able to make a tutorial on making these texture mods? I've gotten as far as extracting and repacking the files on my own, but I think I'm doing something wrong when editing the textures themselves. I tried to edit a silver rathalos texture and he wound up as a floating head. It was amazing, but definitely not what was intended to happen.
I really want to like this mod but... man she does not fit that model at all lmao. it looks like, idk, a depraved younger brother of her instead, or something. xD good work anyway though. modding is always so exciting
So it begins. I'd imagine we'll soon see ridable Hermitaurs, (these guys also have a functional saddle btw) Plesioth, Duramboros, Seltas Queen and so on. I have to admit that I expected it to take longer for mods like this to show up.
If you intend to keep making appearance related mods, I'd love to see one that makes collectibles stand out more. Sometimes my eyes are too tired to notice that tiny white butterfly, and it's kinda stressful in general having to scan the environment so carefully in order to not miss anything.
If you could modify their textures to be very vibrant and stick out, it'd be a big help <3
All palamutes use the same body, clothing and neck scarf texture pretty much, so if it was just those it'd be quick to make a version for each palamute. However their ears and tail are individual for each. I'd have to do ear and tail variations for each palamute colour, which I chose not to do initially due to fire palamutes theming.
Theoretically you could transfer any textures labelled 'em615' within the arc to the other dogs. It wouldn't take too long as all the main texture work is already done on the body and clothing, so if enough people would like it I could take a look in my free time.
I am not sure if there are any written guides to doing so yet, but I can provide you the tools I used from Silvris. https://github.com/Silvris/MHS2-Tex-Converter https://github.com/Silvris/MH-Tools-and-Scripts
With these you can unpack/repack the .arc files within the game directory and then convert the .tex ones to a readable format like .dds to edit.

If I want to replace it with another type of Palamute, such as 141, what do I need to do
