This minor graphical mod serves to replace the textures of the fire elemental palamute with one created to resemble amaterasu from the Okami series.

With texture replacement methods being easier to access in MHS2, I have created my first ever mod to reskin the fire palamute as amaterasu.
I recommend you download this mod alongside the 'MHS2 modloader' and 'matchmaking unlocker' as to ensure there are no issues connecting to multiplayer with file modifications installed. They are not required for the mod to work but I have not tested multiplayer without them.
As far as I am aware MHS2 has no ban system, and any multiplayer errors can be fixed with the above mentioned mods. This mod is ENTIRELY client side so you shouldn't have issues anyway (this means other players will still see your regular fire puppy).
INSTALLATION: 1) Download the most recent .zip in files and extract it. 2) Drag and drop the 'nativeDX11x64' found within into your main MHS2 installation directory. (1 file should be replaced) 3) Launch game
ty for MandL27 for showing me the resources to make texture mods and Silvris for creating them https://github.com/Silvris
For those interested in getting into texture modifications, MandL27 and I have assembled this spreadsheet to help you find Monsters from their ids in the 'mo' game directory folder.
