Some people call this mod cheating but it's not. MHR remove Vitality skill and add those stupid Green Birds. I don't want to running around collect those bird every single hunt, so this mod is saving me from boring mechanic, not feeling cheating at all.
It's great to get random spiribirds as the quest progresses, however when you just want to collect X amount before jumping into the action and a typical quest lasting between 5-20 minutes. You won't get that many spiribirds with the jewel, and this way you can tune it to your liking. It just means picking up less, to get more of a gain and get into the action faster without wasting too much time. Plus, they didn't adjust the petalaces for Sunbreak at all, so a bit of a gain boost is always welcome when they hit like trucks, you get the bonus' faster.
It's not really cheating if you are already using the system that is in-place, but certainly if you spawn the spiribirds to your location or have the boosts right at the start of the hunt. This just incentives you to go out and get the spiribirds, whilst making it not as tedious. To each their own, but this has certainly made my hunts more enjoyable with spending less time getting all the spiribirds on that map and only needing to get half the normal amount (still need to find and collect them, which in my case I need 5 health ones to get the normal boost instead of 10 which IS tedious)
The whole point is to encourage a core game mechanic, whilst still providing added benefits to using them.
It's a mix of, getting that "max" but not making them outright overpowered. I don't like cheating in games and losing that fun aspect it's why I never use mods to see the monsters remaining HP, as it just loses its whole point of hunting. If it doesn't suit your playstyle, then no need to use :)
Find under the "Script Generated UI" and you'll see a list like in the main image. Click the "CustomSpiribirds" container, and you'll be able to enable/change the values.
