Does anyone know how to fix the distortion on the edge of the shadow?

You can increase the number of rays in the qUINT_rtgi.fx settings, by default it's 3, but my preset has it at 1 to improve performance

most likely the "Z Thickness" setting under the "Ray Tracing" section in ReShade. I turned mine down to .20 and there are no more halos around the edges of objects.

I just looked at the Patreon and holy nope that looks like a messy process to deal with. Do I have to pay money for it?

Yar har, I will do some scouting then. If not, then I'll see if I can find some help elsewhere.

It's not as messy as it looks, thankfully - it's $5 to get access to his most up to date RTGI shader and other shaders he makes as well.

You pay on patreon, go to discord, and link your patreon and discord accounts, and you'll then be able to get to the beta access channel there to download any version you want of those shaders.

Once you've got them downloaded, you can choose to either stay subscribed and get updates as they come, or you can dip out of the subscription and just check back in whenever you want and pay then again when there's a newer version.

Just be aware that Patreon is a bit weird in how it works, so if you're gonna get it, you're best getting it at the start of a month as Patreon always charges at the start of a month, not one month after your initial payment.

Pascal puts a lot of work into these shaders, and they've come on leaps and bounds.
