About this mod

Shader I've been messing around with in both MHWI and Rise

Permissions and credits

Clarity Shader is my very first reshade attempt at making a rich, colorful and clear shader.
This shader does have many dependencies without which it will look different for you if you do not follow instructions clearly.
I have been using this on both Rise and World!

This shader is based on the HQAA shader effect which is a really good implementation of combining FXAA and SMAA.
Where FXAA alone is really good, but struggles with horizontal lines, the SMAA fixes it.

The in game version of this method on both games makes the game itself look too blurry. This version does not.

While FXAA alone still does look sharper. As mentioned, horizontal lines look horrible.

For Rise: First and foremost I will suggest you install these two mods for image clarity:
 RiseTweaks  & Disable Colorgrading LUT
Just to get a crisper image quality and remove the green hue.

For World: First and foremost I will suggest you install this mod:
Reduce or Remove Bloom

Important: Most notable setting to turn OFF is Anti-Aliasing in the games settings!

If you are having performance issues, please take a look at my graphic settings at the bottom of the description!

ReShade Installation

1. Download and launch Reshade 5.1.0, the new installer will automatically install the correct (4.9.1) version for Rise & World.

2. Select game you want to install ReShade to.

3. Select: DirectX 10/11/12 version.

4. Uncheck all shader effects when prompted. For now! And finish installation!

5. Download and install: ReShade Injector Helper for Rise or World as per their install instructions
and send a shortcut of the InjectorHelper.exe to your desktop.

6. Relaunch ReShade and select all shader effects. Finish installation.

Clarity Shader Installation

1. Download and install HQAA shader effect from the github page: press the "code" button to download the .zip file.

2. Put the HQAA.fx & HQAAlite.fx files into:
...\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\MonsterHunterRise\reshade-shaders\Shaders

3. Put the AreaTex.pngSearchTex.png into:
...\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\MonsterHunterRise\reshade-shaders\Textures
(Overwrite if needed)

Download Clarity Shader .rar and drop the content into the root of the game:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\MonsterHunterRise

(Same paths for World)

My Graphics Settings For Rise & World

I have chosen these settings specifically for image clarity & performance, so alot of things you might "enjoy" might not be enabled. If your fps goes below 60 on Rise, you can reduce the image quality from 170% to 120-130%.
