Due to the new system of adding skills, it is recommended that ALL players in the lobby have the mod. People won't crash if they don't have it, but it will quite likely render the skill ineffective.


This mod:
  • Turns the Wall Run Jewel 2 into the Pursuit Jewel 2, which contains the brand new skill Status Pursuit.
  • Gives Status Pursuit to the following armors with the following levels:
    Wroggi Coil S: level 1Khezu Helm S: level 1Volvidon Helm S : level 1Volvidon Vambraces S : level 1Somnacanth Helm S : level 1Somnacanth Greaves S : level 2
  • The recipe of the Pursuit Jewel is as follows:

      3 Bloodrun Jewels
      1 Coma Sac
      1 Omniplegia Sac
      1 Toxin Sac
    (Why yes, you can always cheat by crafting them before getting the mod, but that wouldn't be fun, would it?)
  • The recipe is unlocked upon killing HR Somnacanth
  • There are 3 levels to the skill, each trading more status damage for guaranteed hits. On level 3, status applies on every hit.

Known Issues:
  • Some text is missing from certain screens
  • Jewel will sometimes show its old name instead of its new name.
For the full experience:
  • This mod is supposed to be paired with the Drug Knowledge mod, which makes it so that status damage applies consistently without random chance, to the point where every hit is a status-inflicting hit. You can still use them individually, but they make for a great power couple.

What is Status Pursuit?

Taken directly from the in-game description:
Applying status damage to a monster already under that status effect will cause additional damage to the monster.
For example, if you have a paralysis weapon, inflicting a hit that deals paralysis damage will instead convert that status damage into raw damage. This skill only affects Poison, Paralysis and Sleep, as well as elemental blights if you are using my other mod, Blighted.

How much does it do?
It does the exact true status damage of your weapon as a flat bonus to the damage you already deal. If you have dual blades that deal 25 damage on a hit, and your dual blades have 30 paralysis damage, the amount of damage you deal will be 25 + 30 = 55 damage. In the case of sleep, if you are lucky enough to land a sleep-inflicting hit on a sleeping monster, the additional damage will be 3x the true sleep value of your weapon. If you deal 100 damage on a wakeup hit, and your weapon has 25 sleep, you'll deal 100 + (25 x 3) = 175 damage.

I'm not getting the damage boost??????
Unlike element, status damage only applies on about 1 out of 3 hits. By extension, this means you'll only get the bonus damage about every third hit.
