So I'll use this as a reply to anyone else who asks, but there's no individual soundfile for hitting the head in particular. This would be impossible, sorry.
Actually there is a sound for when you hit the head with a blunt weapon and/or with any weapon when hitting a monster affected with Thunderblight on the head. It's like an electric spark sound with each hit to the head. I myself really want this mod like when I used it in World.. but I definitely don't want to hear a bonk sound every single time I hit any part with a blunt weapon.
Maybe it's possible for a programmer who can make a script. Figuring a way to make an activation when a blunt weapon hits a head hitbox. That's not a stretch, I don't think, for someone with the know-how and interest. Of course, the current mod is a much simpler file swap.
At least in MHW (and i believe in MHR) there is a different sound file that plays when a stun effect is being applied, and stun applies when you hit the head with a blunt weapon, or as mentioned above, when you hit anything when a monster is suffering from thunderblight.
As a sticky gunner, I would like to humbly ask if it's possible to have this sound replace the "stun" sound effect that occurs whenever you hit something with an attack that inflicts stun. As it stands right now, this mod doesn't affect the sticky explosions from the bowguns or the phial explosions from the charge blade iirc.
I grovel and beg as that was my favorite mod from MH:W/IB lmAO.
This is not currently working with the mod manager, I don't think. I guess it's missing the necessary metadata. Edit: it's probably just me doing something wrong with the mod manager.
I honestly would not be surprised. I had someone tell me it worked, but I did not test it myself. To err on the side of caution, just install via the .pak
Turns out it was me; nothing was working with the mod manager. I likely had screwed up with ReFramework and had to do a clean reinstall to get everything working fine. Now I can bonk away.

Any hopes of an update or anyone know a way to fix it yourself (maybe by creating a new PAK?)
