20th november 2023; grabbed the lost code DLC bundle (mostly for longsword but i dabble in a couple other weapons too)
grabbed all 3 versions of this mod, loaded all 3 in to fluffy, when i select the colour i want, it says it was successful, but when i go in game and am looking at the layered weapon (and in hunts, without spirit gauge) the colour is most definetly not the dark-purple i selected.
what i did; loaded fluffy; made sure firstnativeS and REFramework were installed/enabled > added the rar file for the V2 in to fluffy and selected the colour i wanted. ensured it was successfully isntalled (lower left text portion stating so) > launched through fluffy with "launch now" - colour of layered waepon does not appear to be dark purple at any point :/
according to my xbox gamepass (pc) under "installation info" the latest update was "24/08/2023" "version 16.0.1.0" - does this mean its not working because the mod is not up to date? or did i install something wrong?
its only textures so they do not require updating it is most likely due to being on gamepass or well if mod works on gamepass then it could be due to fluffy option Skip Pak Modification Set to YES Which should be Set to NO It used to be useful for quick ingame swap but if you use nativesfirst with fluffy you can still do it with optionals if modify is ON But Mainly Ever since sunbreak added an extra .pak file Somethings such has face textures simply do not work if skip pak is on so maybe weapons is the same
ahh, it's possibly gamepass version and not being compatible, came across another mod on here, it was a genshin impact raiden mod with the longsword skin change, but the mod creator said it probably didn't work because i use the PC gamepass version of the game (or, more or less, said it doesn't work with gamepass version)
frankly, i did not know they were such different games but i guess they are. so it's possible the mod just doesn't work for gamepass :(
i also just scrolled comments again here and saw mod creator has "banned" under their name, so it's whatever, sadge but i guess it's not compatible with gamepass. it'd be sweet if mods said "gamepass version compatible". i wasn't even aware the games were so different from steam and gamepass xD appreciate the response, i couldn't find "skip pak modifcation" in options or advanced options so i'll just stick to scripty mods like infinite wirebugs, i'd love some longsword VFX mods but the ones i've found, seem to be steam only ;-;
problem is with how gamepass games are installed from xbox store each time you install a gamepass game it strangely creates a "generic volume shadow copy" which is why i stopped using gamepass since it was turning my device manager into chaos and i assume is why u cant mod most games at all without script since the shadow copy most likely has override privilege's which i presume blocks .pak modifications or nativesfirst to work But! maybe using actual .pak mods without fluffy might work since you would basically be adding EXTRA new paks that are not part of the shadow copy you should be able to easily just extract the .rar And pak it up yourself using Pak Patch Tool

it is most likely due to being on gamepass
or well if mod works on gamepass
then it could be due to fluffy option
