Unfortunately I don't have any time to look further into this at the moment. I've wanted to implement this for months, but there's too many other projects to complete.
Hey, @NiyaKhalifa amazing work! This makes mh a new game, i just added this to my modlist and it fits perfect! When will we have the fix for the camera? :D
It seems like it correctly anchors the camera for when panning horizontally, but vertical camera panning seems to always consider itself to be centered in the camera itself. Would it be possible to have, for example, ONLY a height offset that otherwise respects in-game distance setting?
Are there any plans to add secondary scripts to this to where the offset only activates during certain actions?
Best example, in Iceborne while bowgunning, the camera offset very far to the right when aiming, but only while aiming. This made it easy to strafe in either direction while still being able to see monster attacks clearly and aim without obstruction. In Rise currently, the camera doesn't offset nearly enough when aiming, so if you are trying to strafe to the right, your hunter will often obsure monster attacks and make it harder to precisely aim.
Something like this would be a huge QoL, especially if the offset transition happened over the course of 30-60 frames or so, so it doesn't "snap" to the new offset.
Unfortunately I don't really have the time or capacity to implement this. Documentation on this is hard to find and I don't really want to bother people who are more experienced/professionals.
Yah I mainly used it for video clips and such. I used a close third person in the training room with an evade extender set once and regretted it immediately!

Unfortunately I haven't had the time to add the planned features yet. Maybe another week or two, I don't really know.
