A list of all files passing write tests. (For those incapable of extrapolating from incomplete information, that means these files are fully supported. If you can't open one of them, that's you trying to open an outdated copy of the file and not an editor issue.)
EXTRACT FROM `re_chunk_000.pak.patch_001.pak`!!! The files in chunks are not mutually exclusive. Latter paks/patches supersede files in previous paks. Always extract from the most recent pak that has the files. Or extract the paks from oldest to newest overwriting as you go ensuring the newer files overwrite the older ones, essentially merging what you extract.
Title updates 2-5 just replaced `re_chunk_000.pak.patch_001.pak` so if you extract from `re_chunk_000.pak`, you'll get files from the first title update.
You don't edit paks, you edit the files within them. You extract files from the paks and edit those. You could then go create a new pak from the edited files, but it's much easier to release the mod with loose files.
Extracting from paks is covered in the description; and a bit in the stickied comment above.
https://www.nexusmods.com/monsterhunterrise/mods/1987?tab=files this is the file im talking about, the file is .pak extension i have asked the modder on how he edit the value, he yet replies
Again, you do NOT edit pak files, you edit the files you EXTRACT FROM THEM. You'll need to extract them the same way you would extract them from the base game paks.
And copied from earlier: > You could then go create a new pak from the edited files, but it's much easier to release the mod with loose files. > Extracting from paks is covered in the description; and a bit in the stickied comment above.
i used first native and edited the ArmorBaseData.user.2 file for the armors but it always just either stops loading or crashes this is my directory of the file am i putting it in the wrong place? : Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak\natives\STM\data\Define\Player\Armor it is extracted from re_chunk_000.pak.patch_001.pak
If you're on GP it has *many* more paks than Steam and thus patch 1 is not the most recent. As the stickied comment says:
The game not launching with a freshly extracted file means one of two things:
Either you didn't extract the latest version of the file and are thus using an outdated one.
Or you are making illegal edits to it.
Maybe you're on GP and are moving the file *outside* of the MSG folder which breaks the editors detection of GP which causes it to be saved with different CRCs which breaks the game.
Or maybe you're using an editor version that doesn't match the game version you have.
For the first one, it's easy to test just by using the extracted, unmodified file, exactly as-is. If the game doesn't load, you extracted an outdated file.
I would like to apologize for not realizing that there is an editor version for each version of the game the editor works perfectly in my case, version 13
"It does not work" gives me f*#@ all to actually work with.
- Give me some concrete file I can actually test, because it works for all the files listed. - Tell me what game/platform you're on as I can't read your mind. - Read the pin and extract the latest copy of the files from whatever the latest pak is. - This was made for Steam (v16), it has not been updated with newer GP stuff as the last GP file dump I have is from v13. - Yelling at me in caps for what is most likely user error really takes away my motivation to help.
You still give me no file I can actually test with so I'll repeat the list from above again:
PLEASE READ AND PROVIDE FULL ANSWERS TO THE FIRST TWO LISTED ITEMS. Because if I have to ask again I'm not going to. I cannot see your screen. I know nothing of your setup, where you're getting the files from, whether you've left them in the extracted folder when edited, etc. THE MORE INFO YOU CAN GIVE THE BETTER. GIVE ME CLEAR EXPLICIT STEPS TO REPRODUCE THE ISSUE.

I got this error when trying to open UserDataSkillParameter.user.2 file. I unpacked the file using this tool here https://www.nexusmods.com/monsterhunterrise/mods/849. Is there something i did wrong that I can't open the file?

Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak V13.0.0.1
WOULDN'T HE BE THE FILE RESPONSIBLE FOR CHANGING THE GAME ITEMS?
Read the description for more.
I OPENED THE FILE AND SAVED IT TO SEE IF IT REALLY WORKED AND THE GAME SIMPLY WON'T START
PLEASE READ AND PROVIDE FULL ANSWERS TO THE FIRST TWO LISTED ITEMS. Because if I have to ask again I'm not going to.
