Hi ! Cow here, welcome to my MT2 mods Nexus OR could folder.
Installing mods :
- download wanted mod from the Mega Folder / Nexus
- open the folder %appdata%/VectorStorm/MMORPG Tycoon 2/
- open or create a folder /mod
- unzip downloaded archives here so it shows the archive folder name.
Updating mods :
- Check the "Last modified" date of the Mega folder / Nexus.
- If you see that it's more recent that what you downloaded, the mod
probably got updated in the meantime.
- Download the updated mod, unzip in the /mod folder, say yes/replace to all.
or - delete the old folder, then unzip the updated one. (in the case something
had to be deleted from the mod for some reason, but i'll specify when it's
required)

_________
Why a cloud based solution ? Why Mega ?
Cloud modding allows a very fast update system, because my "released mods"
folder is synchronized with Mega, each time that I modify this folder on my
computer, it get updated on Mega too. This way, I don't have to re-upload an
archive somewhere each time I fix something (Hello Nexus, you old dinosaur !)
At the same time, as it is a separated folder from my testing and WIP folder,
users don't have to fear to download something i'm currently working on.
Finally, it's all down to Quality Of Life (QoL): little to no actions required
for me and a centralized and easy to access mod folder for users.
As for Why Mega, it was the 1rst cloud structure I stumbled upon and I'm
satisfied by what I can do with it, but I know that several other do the
job too !
