This is pretty good! I'm a huge fan of medieval buildings and always love these types of buildings. With John Smith texture pack, it just brings the build to a whole new level :P
Conquest Reforged is also one of the good Minecraft mods that allows you to build in medieval style. Just imagine combining it with those dark academia Minecraft houses. Ooo!
hey guys im not really a programmer and have only worked with a few mods in the past and i dont know how to use this mod becouse it doesnt come with any instructions but if any of you would be so kind and give me some instructions?
Sorry for the late reply, but this isn't a mod, its a world save. There's also a texture pack included which you can place in the appropriate folder if you wish to view the map in the textures shown in the images.
As for the world save, open the .rar and extract the save game into where you're normal minecraft saves are located.
Since it's not a mod you shouldn't need forge running, but I think you might have to change the version to 1.7.10. It might run on 1.8 though if you want to give it a go though.
For Mods exclusively I've always used Minecraft Forge. You can find this on the official minecraft forums, follow the install instructions which are fairly simple and update to a more stable version. Version 1.64 has lots of mods available, including things like Tekkit, The B-Team etc. 1.64 does not however include the new Biomes of 1.72 (The Roofed Forests, Mesa's, Redwood Forests etc)
Version 1.72 Forge, as stated above includes all the new Biomes. But has fewer mods than 1.64 at the moment (mods take time to update between versions)
So you'll have to decide which version to get.
Once you have installed the version of choice, find your .minecraft folder and create a Mods folder in there if there isnt one already. (you can find this folder by clicking the Windows Icon Start button and typing %appdata% in the search bar.) After you've set up the folder, simply find a mod you like, download it and drag the Zip or Jar file into that Mod folder.
When ready to go, boot up minecraft and select a new profile. (if the install of Minecraft Forge went correctly you should see a Forge profile, so use that.)
After that, hit play and you're ready to rock.
I imagine you've probably figured this out by now, but if not, I hope it helps out. If in doubt of anything, just ask or youtube it.
Wow I've been outta the loop for a while, sorry for any lateness to a reply.
Yes, the textures should work for the version in question, MC has a nice option of filling out any missing JohnSmith Textures with default mc textures. I haven't played MC in a while because i've been waiting on the new 1.8 update (whenever that will be released), but once that is all in order, I'll start updating this file as necessary.
Failing that you could always visit the official John Smith's thread in MC Forums found here, http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1544827-32x-john-smith-legacy-147151617-jstr-mod-support-ftb-tekkit-etccommunity-project/
They'll likely have updates to the pack itself sooner than I'll update this map.
I tend to have an on and off again relationship with minecraft I only really build when I get inspiration or new updates roll out, so I got nothing to add at the moment. But go nuts with it yourself, hope you found the secret stuff in there too. hehe.

What version of MC is this using?
I'll also be updating the texture pack soon for the new Stone Types and Slime Blocks when they become available.
