For some reason the game stops responding after interrorgating the first orc like not freezing but i cant move or pause the game at all as if my mouse and keyboard arent connected can anyone help?
The SteamID should be at the start of the filename of the save file, for example 0248cb12 in case of my mod's save file.
To find your own you can locate your own save file and copy the numbers at the start, for example;543e6d54_ShadowOfWar.sav So that hypothetical save file would denote your SteamID code to be; 543e6d54
Can you please help me i dont get it I have my own savefile, and as instructed I go to save converter, I put my file in there, but I don't know what to put in the steam output and input ID, i put mine steam id in both fields, and download converted save file, what do i do after that, where does your save file come into play exactly, and do i put it somewhere along with the converted save ? I apologise, instructions are very unclear to me
Update: I managed to make it work, amazed at myself, for anyone who will be confused, this is what helped me -> You have your own save file in the remote directory, just copy paste it's name and save it somewhere for a while, then get the downloaded save file from nexus page to the save converter, input your own steam id twice "Your friend code", then download the file, you'll see converted save name, now copy the name of your original save file and put that on this converted save file, delete everything inside the "remote" folder, don't delete the folder itself, and just put that new file with new name inside the remote folder, that was it for me
I haven't done the entire process myself, I simply updated the installation method after being made aware that the save converter tool had been released.
Though thank you for the update, hopefully this will help others who might be having difficulty.
I've done everything twice overstep by step. However, when I load in the LVL. remains "1 one" not the LVL. "80" as prompted. I delete the file before doing anything the videos says. Then, placing the downloaded file into the "/steam/userdata/12766543/36743/remote" folder which after I start the cheat engine as used in the tutorial. Loading the game then pausing when the number populate, Which I then change the numbers with the converter before unpausing and continuing.
Have you disabled Cloud Saving? If not, try turning it off by right-clicking SOW in Steam, go to "Properties", and there should be an option in there somewhere to disable it
im having a similar issue, im not sure what i should put in the steam ID input/output other than my own steam ID and i dont know if thats correct. once i do get the converted download file and replace it were my old save data was nothing changes so im not sure what im doing wrong
Good day the mod sounds amazing i wanna replay Sow again and this mod is a great start it would be perfect if you could make the enemies scale along with you. love the work
They don't. So right now yeah, in essence, it is unbalanced. I set the save difficulty to Brutal which does make up for the imbalance a little, though you can always change it.
I'd hoped that the creatures would scale to your level. Unfortunately, they do not, and I couldn't figure out how to force them to. I think it would require more serious coding using the mod loader. I may delve into this, though I can't promise I'll be able to fully figure it out. Dying to orcs will increase their level to yours, so I'm sure there is a way to code it somehow.
It has the amount of skill points you would have by levelling to 80. You can still earn more skill points by filling the xp bar over the max level, as well as completing certain quests.

STEAM ID INPUT
- Here you'll enter the SteamID3 of the save file you're converting.
- The SteamID3 should be at the start of the filename of the save file you're converting, for example
- This is a hex number so you have to prefix the number with
STEAM ID OUTPUT630c8f12
in630c8f12_ShadowOfWar.sav
.0x
when you enter it, like this0x630c8f12
.451e5d45
in451e5d45_ShadowOfWar.sav
.0x
when you enter it, like this0x451e5d45
edit: got it to work just need to manually input steam id instead of copy pasting it
0248cb12

Still seeing LVL 1 though :/
lmk if i'm doing something wrong. THANK YOU!
Steam\userdata\<user-id>\356190\remote\
There is a way to get the captains to not speak, but it involves deleting some game files. So I don't think it's an issue associated with this save.
If Talion is level 80 and the creeps are level 10-15, it will be unbalanced
