Any idea why, when I extract the reshade files to my Metro 2033 Redux folder it causes the game to crash on startup? If I remove files game works fine but the instant I install the reshader it no longer works =(
Did you manage to solve the issue? I am having the same problem but changing the name doesn't seem to work, the game launches but no reshade on top. Also added the directx9 final version, tried mixing with running on compatibility with windows 8 or as administrator or both.
Edit: Finally got it, very niche case. I was running on my legion laptop, with hybrid mode on, disabling it and restarting made it work.
Changing the file to d3d9.dll solved my crashing issues but then when I launch the game, I don't get the Reshade prompts on the top left like I was before? Any thoughts?
Sorry missed this message I'll need to reload my game to check out the issue. I may have to create a secondary d3d9.dll as I think sometimes changing the name doesn't always work with the reshade and sweetfx but let me recheck. It usually works but due to the odd case I'll make an adjustment and get it sorted.
Try adding DX9 support to win10 and see if that corrects the issue I am just reloading my game to test it myself to see if I have any issues. https://youtu.be/yMNVLoxD8fQ
You don't need to upgrade it, just place and play. All the required files are contained within.
And all older versions of reshade including reshade with sweetfx are in the repository https://www.mediafire.com/folder/8ar1jhh1809cl/ReShade_Repository
Although reshade by itself breaks the older reshade with sweetfx versions. Just place the files as they are and ignore the reshade has an update message, unless you wanna break it.
Hi, is there any way to change enable and disable function, from scroll lock to other key? The thing is, I'm using 65% keyboard layout and it doesn't have scroll lock button.
Amazing Reshade! It elevated the game to another level. I don't know why the developers don't put these reshades baked into the game. The vanilla game is so washed out and dull.
I agree. Thank you! I knew it wasn't the best look to begin with but after the reshade it's dramatic how much this has helped. How do professional devs not take care of this stuff? And they made the Redux!
resahde works well and all is good but i want to change 1280x720 to 1920x1080 but it doesnt get applied at all any idea why ? (also thanks for making this game feels more alive kinda ;D )
It shouldn't affect the resolution. Not sure whay you're having that issue. Is the game set in a windowed mode, that can effect your resolution choices in some games. But it's not related to using reshade.
Hi and Thanks, Turn up your gamma to adjust your lighting in the game settings. Not really sure what you mean, is it possible to stop on Metro - LLR. Are you asking if it will work with LLR? It should if that's the question.

Change the name of the dxgi.dll to d3d9.dll and try again.

Do I not need to install reshade???

Two questions :
1) How to reduce the darkness?
2) Is it possible to stop on the Metro - Last Light Redux?
Thanks !
