Hi, been really liking the presets so far :D But I've been having some screen flicker issues when the shaders are on, specifically in certain dialogue sceens, darker sceens and in-game encyclopedia. It seems like vsync is the only thing that fixes it, which does impact the framerate to some extent. I was wondering if any other users have reported similar issue? And if so if there's a fix for it, perhaps changing some settings within the shaders?
Preferably i wouldn't want to turn vsync on as it impacts the performance. Would really appreciate it if there's a solution to this. If not i will just try to ignore it.
Hi BurnMyDreead, thanks for trying out the mod! Does the game looks too dark, overly contrasty or something? Have you tried adjusting the in-game brightness?
Hi, thanks for the reply! Bold seems to be "fine", but Light and the others give me a yellow glow and the colors become very "weird" - I couldn't describe it better
Playing the game in 1920x1080, 200% and with MetaphorFix
Also tried to use an older version of ReShade, but still doesn't work.
The presets were made with the latest ReShade (Version 6.3.1), so unlikely older versions will fix anything. Other than MetaphorFix, have you installed other mods? It's likely one or more of the effect(s) wasn't installed along with the presets. Do you have all these effects in your ReShade as shown in the screenshot below (those that are ticked)? https://staticdelivery.nexusmods.com/mods/6906/images/20/20-1730038438-190290044.jpeg
All these effects appears only when i use Bold, if i can remember well. At Reshade installation, this time, i choose Fantasy.ini as file for the effects and this is what i see:
Where did you place the .ini files at? They have to be at ...\Steam\steamapps\common\Metaphor ReFantazio (game's main folder where the .exe file & reshade-shaders folder are located) It's very weird that you only have those effects available (default installation of ReShade will have even more of these effects available) It could also be that your ReShade is installed on a incorrect path?
Did you also installed other mods like Metaphor Better Antialiasing previously? It's a ReShade preset & the modder has included the effects files for download (which I think he shouldn't as it might infringe copyright issues on his end if those effects are not made by him) If you already have that installed previously, the ReShade folder won't have the necessary effects required for my presets to work. To solve this, I suggest you try uninstalling ReShade totally using the ReShade Setup file from ReShade website, then reinstall it with all effects selected when installing (don't choose from any .ini files) or just follow my Installation steps in Description. Then make sure all .ini files are in your game folder, & when the game's booted up, the .ini files will all be under the dropdown menu of ReShade UI & the effects required will automatically be selected when you choose 1 of the .ini files.
Hiii! I tried to unistall 100% Re-shade with the installer and also clean the folder from Reshade files.
I am still trying with Fantasy preset and this is what happens when i apply it (.ini preset is in the main folder of the game, like in the instructions!)
Also deleted old TAA.ini files etc (i installed previously this mod, so yes!) - now using TAA in game (do you think it's better? If you have some advice about it, i will glad to hear u!)
Still thank you for trying to help me. I had no issue to install re-shade in general, it's very simple,yet... don't know why i have this problem now.
I think you might have altered the Fantasy.ini file & since the Auto Save is on, it got auto saved without any of the effects selected. Try downloading my preset files again. There's no need for further installation since you have installed ReShade with all the available effects, just place the .ini files in the game folder, overwrite the old files & they should work fine now when you select them in game.
Everything working right now! I make u lost a looot of time - thank you, really. Also, this presets are 10/10! Love it so far - i will play a bit with Fantasy, but Light already won my heart!
its a common "fix" for reshade crash on startup issues, if i recall some reshade mods include 2 copies of dxgi.dll and one copy needs to be renamed i think
Hi pinko2012, thanks for your compliment! I have yet to try the better antialiasing mod, but ReShade usually has no direct influence on the game files, so by right should be compatible with all other non-ReShade mods! 😃
Thanks realYuno! I'm using this PRISM+ brand 4k curved monitor (color calibrated with some external device), not a widescreen monitor though. I'm able to achieve the screenshots with the MetaphorFix mod by exaggeratingly extending the width to such extent while in windows mode 😅

Thank you again!!
If not, try uninstalling the reshade & try again.
i tried the different presets and it's the same thing, i can't even see the logo.
it worked, i have to remember this fix if the same problem appears in other games.
I didn't know about this.

This is beautiful!
