Mod still works!  Just keep in mind, it's not compatible with anything that changes the same files.  If it's not working, you've got a compatibility issue.

No my friend, this mod is not popular because most of the ppl agree that vanilla supressors are durable enough. If somebody likes to shoot more and bury the tactical aspect of MGS, like developing, procuring, managing your assets, adapting your own approach based on given tools - if your supressor holds out X shots, you shoot X times. In dire need request a resupply - if you want the game to bend under your style, then you can always play any other shooter.

MGSV even has the Infinite Ammo bandana if you don't feel like adapting your playstyle...

What even is the point of these comments?  Why does anyone think I care about the popularity of my mod?  I made it for myself, and apparently 1,162 other people found it useful too.

I'll add to this, the 17th most downloaded mod of all time is an infinite suppressor mod.  The fourth most downloaded mod is a cheat to allow every item in game to be unlocked with no requirements.  I'm sorry, if you think "most of the ppl agree" with you, you're just wrong.

If you want my mod to bend under your style, then you can always use any other mod.

On an unrelated note, this is the first mod I made for this game, and was primarily a way of testing the waters.  I have a complete replacement for this mod sitting in my files which rebalances and adjusts recoil, handling, and durability values for all attachments in the game, lowering durability below vanilla for some suppressors.

This isn't here to be "popular", it's just here for people who are interested, and I'm not open to these kinds of suggestions.

      I recommend reading this

this mod is great, i hate forced bullshit, and wen people just unreasonably try to force what they think on others. especially when it makes even less sense and what they are defending is hurting game play

The only reason you don't have more downloads is due to the mod naming, no one knows about your mod because your mod isn't named after suppressors. You should think about that, if the person doesn't thoroughly browses last updated mods or even all mods, they don't even know there is a balanced and updated mod that works.

If you are thinking about updating it to be more balanced, you could do as someone else here already tried. They boosted level 3 silencers to be infinite. That is possible. The best silencers out there, with high-grade metal alloys, could fire at least 30,000 rounds or even several magazines in full-auto if you let it cool when reloading. Cheap and light silencers are only used for light caliber rounds and will heat up to blowing up.

So leaving level 1 at 30-45, level 2 at 60-90 and level 3 at infinite would not be far from realistic.

    Thanks for your mod.

Does it turn every supressor to act as lvl3 (90 bullets and then it runs out ) or infinite supressor that stick with the gun and you cannot take it off and on when you want ?

Hey, good question! I like the progression system in the vanilla game, but didn't like how weak the suppressors were compared to say, actual suppressors. I doubled the values for all the suppressors, lvl1 = 30, lvl2 = 60, lvl3 = 120

Honestly I don't know if it's possible to double that third value without breaking something, but hey, I'm new at this.

      Thanks for asking!

How about making them all into lvl3 ? I mean it's better than infinite one

I can throw together a version like that for you. I also plan on making a more thoughtful version where the durability is based on the weapon type and fire rate. So weapons with a super slow rate of fire like the tranq pistol could last for 30 shots on even a basic suppressor, but a high power sniper rifle would need a very good suppressor to maintain any sustained fire without breaking.

does this mod necessarily require infinite heaven? the file looks like it should work without it

Good point. I was pretty tired when I threw that in there, and in my head I figured infinite heaven is required for enjoying a modded game these days no matter who you are. I'll probably just remove it as a requirement.
