    Hey guys. Sorry, but I am not currently working on this or any of my Metal Gear Solid mods.

    IRL the company I work for was bought out by a multinational corporation so my time is extremely limited. To make matters worse I finished MGS V and I was completely dissatisfied with both the "endings". Great game in my opinion but it has a TERRIBLE campaign and a dumb ending (your opinions may differ). I am doing a little modding on the side, but not for this game. Once Fallout 4 comes out I will be off messing with that. Then the holidays and so forth.

    So that's a long winded way of saying "this mod will likely not be updated for a long time"

    If anyone wants to update the most current LUA files for MGS V I would not only be eternally grateful and add them to the downloads, but more importantly I would be happy to give you full credit for updating the mod and keeping it alive.

    Thanks so much and hope you guys are enjoying the game still.

    Does this still work?

    how do i install it? does it work with snakebite? as there is no .MGSV files for it? (new to mods , so step by step instruction if possible

    I can confirm that the mod still works as of March 21st, 2017.

    Mod was installed using snakebite.

    Inside the downloaded file, I simply zipped the 00 folder making it a 00.zip

    Snakebite has an option for "install using zip file", so use that option.

    Works on version MGS_TPP version 1.10

      Even though it works, it isn't compatible with a lot of mods.

    Excelent mod, Took some jerry rigging because i didnt have the 0 folder origionally but after i did that it worked No more running out of fuel resources because i like to take shields for me

    Here's an updated No Deployment Costs .lua! Goes in 00.dat as per usual. If you'd like, please feel free to add this to the Files section, since the current version of this is a bit outdated (though if you don't mind, I'd prefer not to take any credit).

      What actually changed? My no deployment costs still seem to be working, I just reapplied my modded Dat files.

      Whoops, late reply, GSmog. Umm, I honestly don't know. But because of the added DLC stuff, it's entirely possible that the old .lua could be missing necessary information. I'm not sure how it works, but I generally like to redo mods when they break, just in case (when not too inconvenient). If the old file works for you, then it makes complete sense to keep using that unless something goes wrong.

      As for the time limits, I don't know how to do that, sorry. But hey, here's a new version of the file.

      @DefectiveLife Do you know why new grade weapons (with online development) are not free of charge at deployment? Other weapons are free with your edited lua, but these aren't

      The new rank 8 tranq gun and stun decoy still have their deployment costs.

      It still works. Only issue is that the higher-grade weapons added by the patches aren't affected, probably because they're online-reliant items.

    Has anyone worked out how to fix this? I can't find any references to the deployment cost os the rank 7 Stun Decoy in any of the EquipDevelopFlowSetting.lua files across the various .dats. I wonder where it's getting it from...
     
    EDIT: I just noticed that when starting the game without an internet connection, the rank 7 Stun Decoy only costs GMP to use, instead of costing common and minor metal as well. I'm not sure what to make of that. In the development screen, it shows up with its full GMP and resource cost.
