About this mod

This mod causes you (the player) to forget markings for all enemy soldiers every time you died. So every time you retry after dying, you will start with a fresh map clean from previous markings. This makes the game arguably more difficult. Enemies who were knocked out or sleeping when you reached the checkpoint will keep the marking.

Ok, firstable I have to say that I like to play MGSPP with increase difficulty settings. Mostly related to enemy awareness and perception. I use IH in order to archive this desirable effect as follow:

Enemy sight = 250%
Enemy hearing = 250%
Enemy sight at night = 175% (250% is to much because the following setting)
Brightness level = as low as possible to make nights darker and to force me to use the NVG
Enemy health = 31%
Player's health = 10%
Intel team's enemy spotting Disabled.
Intel team's herb spotting Disabled.

However, something that bothered me when re-playing a mission after dying, It was the fact that all the enemies I previously marked were still marked after the retry screen, This made the game easier for me because I was retrying with all the enemies marked and I lost the surprise factor (because I am not using intel's enemy spotting feature).

So this mod causes you to forget the marking of all soldiers you have seen every time you died. So every time you retry after dying, you will start with a fresh map clean from previous markings. This makes the game arguably more difficult.

Enemies who were knocked out or sleeping when you reached the checkpoint will keep the marking after retrying, because I think it makes sense and also, you (snake) will remember where did you left their bodies. 

You still won't forget marking from suicides, fall deaths, or in a FOB mission.
