it totally worked w/ IH, but then it just randomly stopped? after i accepted mission 8 when it was just that mission + contact emerich left 4 story missions i have no fucking clue how it stopped working but im real fuckin sad bc having all footsteps totally muted like they r w/ the sneaking suits fucking blows man i turn the soldiers hearing up a lot so w/o this they can hear me from like 15/18 meters away unless im crawling/walking 0.2 mph by holding ctrl s#*! sucks, and i have no fucking clue what caused it only thing i could think was i developed battledress and took it on mission 8 2 test it, failed out, went back in w/ woodlands fatigues n it stopped working then gotta stick 2 sneaking suit now n just pretend im not allowed 2 run when im near any1 now so that fuckin sucks, w/e, this was a lifesaver mod until that tho just fyi
For future reference, it stopped working because you turned on IH's Soldiers Parameters. It overwrites the changes that this mod does to the hearing parameters, so the mod stops working.
To get the effects of this mod directly on IH (without even needing this mod), you'll have to follow this instructions:
3 years later and I still can't say I ever noticed a problem with using it alongside Infinite Heaven. Even just purely hypothetical speaking, I wonder what is supposed to make this mod incompatible.
I know what could be the problem with IH: If you turn IH's "Soldier's Parameters" On it will overwrite the soldier's hearing settings, therefore making this mod stopping to work. I turned it on yesterday to test what PseudoNYmoousHigh was talking about and this mod stopped working.
The solution is to change the soldier's hearing parameters directly on IH, like PseudoNYmoousHigh was talking about.
There is a way to do this and more while also using Infinite Heaven To do this, install Infinite Heaven, go to Soldier parameter settings, and set them as per your requirement as per usual
Next, we go to the mods folder of the game directory and go to modules and open InfSoldierParams.lua in some kind of text editor, I used Notepad++Then we search for hearingRangeParameter This has 2 instances in the lua above In both cases, we change the normal variable's ss and hs value to 0(or anything else of your choice) Not sure what exactly the remaining entries do in these lists, I suspect that 's' is for walking at full speed(not running) Either way, this enables completely muting your footsteps to enemies while ensuring that they can still hear your magazines and knocks, no matter which outfit you wear
This lua also contains a bunch of other things you can tweak for guards, though I'm unsure which variable does what exactly, so more trials are needed
Well, since then I dove into the sight and sound parameter settings. I'd like to make a post about it on Nexus Mods but I don't wish to make a mod itself. What would you recommend that I should do?

For starters post it here so some of us can read it.
The description of this mod is inaccurate. Use the optional file version 2 and it will work with infinite heaven. Excellent mod! It always drove me crazy the massive advantage you have using the sneaking suits in this game so this mod actually makes me want to use the fatigues again, which is great because I love the look of them. Great mod, I just wish it was updated so version 2 was the main file and you updated the description to say "install after infinite heaven and IHHOOK" or something like that but whatever.
Definetely not working for me, so if any of old posters who got it to work with IH could comment I would much appreciate. Tried both files 1 & 2, with default guard hearing settings - they still turn around on me in fatigues when crouch-walking.
I would kill for IH compatible mod like this yet this dude is the only person in universe that knows the secret of reducing footsteps.
So far it looks like File 2 is compatible with the latest version of IH. (Snakebite installed it without any warnings or anything) Though maybe its due to the install order? UH first then install this. Gonna go test it out to be sure though

edit: My question is this, I want to know if it will work for infiltration clothing, even heavy combat ones.
In any case, great mod. Fatigues looks great but are practically useless. So it's nice to be able to use them over the Sneaking Suit.

Nobody want to help then?
