Hey, which preset did you use in the nighttime screenshot with the rain that you have posted? I have yet to install the mod and wanted to see which preset I should install. I originally was looking at the "Metal Gears Solid V Altered Visuals "New" 2.0" mod on here and I loved the lighting in both the day but specifically the night screenshot shown there with the rain looks amazing but the comments were saying it was way too dark in game and didn't match the screenshot so I was hesitant to download that one.
I believe that screenshot was from the Pale Heavy preset. That's my personal preference, though you might want to try Pale if Pale Heavy is too dark at night.
Can I use this with an actual reshade mod like https://www.nexusmods.com/metalgearsolidvtpp/mods/3 or it will kill the purpose of your mod and the other person's mod XD.
Bet, so I guess it’s better to just use the normal reshare. As your mod affects each map differently, so it could be map dependent on what looks good or bad.
Just wanted to say that I love the new versions. After a 1000h sunk into TPP it sure is refreshing to have something a bit different to look at. Thank you for all of the work you've done over the years!
They all have their own styles and I wouldn't necessarily call one realistic, but I have a strong preference for Heavy Pale because it's got a grit that I like in Afghanistan, and the lighting in Africa's sunny daytime sometimes impresses me. JimLafleur was experimenting with using ReShade and ICBINR's Pale version, which looked really promising for realism:
I don't know what his plans are for development/release but your question reminded me about it
there's probably some on youtube, but you just need to pull out the pftxs file from the mod (rename the file from the .mgsv extension to .zip and then open it up), unpack chunk0, replace the pftxs file that has the same name, and then repack the chunk0. I don't know which part you're stuck on specifically but you unpack .dat archives by dragging the file and dropping it on the GzsTool.exe. You'll need to be more specific if you're still having trouble
