What I’d really like to remove is the tape hud when listening the walkman.
Found no settings for that, that’s the only left thing on my screen…
I think I’ll end up roleplaying while using VLC xD

Hiding the save icon seems to not be working.

Hello. I'm trying to figure out how to disable the popup in Sortie Prep, the infamous: "Higher grade versions of your currently equipped weapons/items exist" notification. I've looked everywhere but can't seem to find a way to disable it. Any ideas?

Hi morbidslinky, i'm trying so hard to find a mod which disable the material notification popup, the one popping up on the right side of the screen telling you processed and collected materials. I hate it the most :D I tryed your Suppress Popups and the CoopeZz's Mute Idroid but nothing works. I'm using the 1.0.7.1 version of the game, is it the problem...? Or is that popup not from idroid so there's nothing i can do? Pls help me!!! xD

Using 1.0.7.1 is *a* problem, but not *the* problem. Consider purchasing the game if you have the opportunity, it's like $7 on G2A.

The material notifications can be disabled in the in-game options menu, without using mods.

This mod has been updated for Game Version 1.0.14.0. In addition, I reworked the "Suppress Notifications" mod so that it no longer suspends the notifications you get. Instead, you only receive the essential notifications while in-game.

If you want to get rid of ALL the notifications, I highly recommend using "Mute iDroid Notifications" by CoopeZz's: https://www.nexusmods.com/metalgearsolidvtpp/mods/644
That mod taught me how to fix the problems with my mod.

      Hello,

I saw that you "credited" my notification removal. Well, because you can edit and also made better that mod, feel free to use it for this mod (and possibly make another version to mute all). It's better to have it on one place :) .

Oh boy, just came back from doing a couple of side-ops in free roam and had to sit through 5 min of suppressed alerts. Just a black screen and an unskippable stream of text.
I'm not sure what you can do about that. I'm going to wait till there's some other solution.

It looks like this mod found a better solution: https://www.nexusmods.com/metalgearsolidvtpp/mods/644

Their method is much better than mine, I didn't even think about doing it the way they did it. Basically they muted the notifications by removing the text entries from the english localization files. That way, no text will be displayed when the game announces something. My method involved suspending the notifications, which caused the floodgates to open when the game un-suspended them.

Is there a way to remove the track length in the upper right hand corner? I'm trying to play with no HUD, but since I use custom music, it's always there. Not exactly a popup, but if anybody knows it's probably you.

Regrettably that's more of a UI-related thing, which hasn't been researched yet. Maybe in the future we'll be able to tweak and remove those sorts of things.

Ah, handy! I didn't realize each portion of the mod was a separate .mgsv file!

I can confirm that this mod is working as intended for the 1.12 patch. If you are experiencing a crash on startup, it is very likely that your game files need to be revalidated through Steam first.
