Just found out that MGS5 was originally developed with an 80s filter based on the film "Rush". It was removed because it was too demanding on consoles. The info comes from Hideo Kojima himself:
Bastards didn't even give us PC gamers the option to keep it. But hey, that's where modders like you come in to pick up the pieces . I just wish this mod didn't seem so dead. Only 23 endorsements? Seriously guys? Hideo himself would endorse this if he knew about it (probably), lol.
I really do love this ReShade like I already said in my previous comment, but I have a request. Think you could make a preset/filter with a bit less of an emphasis on film grain and more of an emphasis on VHS distortion? Something like this:
I'm really liking what I'm seeing here. Both Apocalypse Now and Rambo 3 film styles fit perfectly into the tone of this game.
Have you played much with your Apocalypse Now preset in Afghanistan, and with the Rambo 3 preset in Africa? How do these presets fair when they're used interchangeably like that?
It's a mod that automatically selects the right ReShade preset for the right location in-game depending on where you are, so you don't have to exit the game and keep changing manually. Unfortunately right now this one is only for The Witcher 3 (as far as I know), but the concept is perfect for your presets, don't you think?

Check out this mod:

Is there a way to restore colour to background scenery? I'm talking about how the background landscape has that cold washed out bluish colour look.
Thanks dude.
