About this mod
This mod expands on CapLagRobin's original playable Skull Face mod: with working blood textures, more outfit options, optional Parasite abilities (Quiet's movement abilities), and a holstered Mare's Leg to complete the look. Much in the same vein as my previous mod.

Description:
Sans Lingua Franca -- the Phantom Snake finally slithers out from Big Boss's shadow. No longer content with subverting Cipher from the inside, Skull Face takes command of the bloodied and beaten Outer Heaven to bring Hell on Earth. A dead man forced to live by vocal cord parasite; there can be no symbiosis with hatred, nor peace from war. Bold faced vengeance necessitates mastery over the Skull strain of the vocal cord parasite, and with this mastery comes the capacity the rid the world of Zero.
It is no secret that Skull Face, as Metal Gear villains go, was underutilized to an extent. He entered the scene in a big way in Ground Zeroes; taking the franchise in a much darker direction than Metal Gear typically went, for better or worse. He then went through a complete 180 in Phantom Pain, becoming an absolute goofball with a band of weird and disparate antagonists. With insanely quotable lines and a hammy vocal performance from James Horan, he made a big impact with the limited screen time he had in MGSV. Whether this limited screen time was due to: Phantom Pain being unfinished (an unfair claim when you look at how polished and feature complete MGSV is), an unfocused and messy story from Kojima and the writers (Kojima's a stronger game directer than writer), or perhaps it was a deliberate choice to deny the player a satisfying MGS-style boss encounter as well as conventional revenge. It is interesting to note that there are cut voice lines in the game files implying that there was some plan early on to make Skull Face a more conventional Metal Gear boss. Whatever the case may be it is clear that Skull Face has inconsistent characterization as well as utilization: a lesson Kojima has thankfully learned with Higgs in Death Stranding.
Well then, a modded protagonist will just have to do. This mod includes all the features and customization you've come to expect: working FPV thanks to CapLagRobin's original work, dynamic blood textures, your choice of headgear (hat & mask, no mask, no hat, no headgear), your choice of outfit to replace (Sneaking Suit for those without DLC, Naked Snake Sneaking Fatigues for two versions of this mod, the Parasite Suit for skull powers [WARNING: using the armour parasite powers will cause a CTD as it is missing the mesh], and the classic Tuxedo look (for dark camouflage). In addition, Skull Face now comes with his iconic Lever-Action Mare's Leg holstered on his leg to complete to look (with an optional file to replace Snake's main gun in cutscenes with the Mare's Leg), and working facial animations due to not being tied to the PS1 Solid Snake model.
Recommendations:
If you want to actually use the Mare's Leg, might I recommend PresidentSears' mod which has three variations of the Mare's Leg to use. If you want to be even more overpowered, check out BobDoleOwndU's Multi Quiet Player Mod v2.3 - Quiet ability and voice support mod, only installing the MQPM Animations and Abilities file, to zip around like a Skull (use with the Parasite Suit or with reduced player damage from IH to truly become a force of nature). Also consider using Skull Sniper Unit Model Swap for Quiet mod by MildPsychedelic if you a Skull minion to support you.
To do:
Cosmetically speaking, there is not much left to do beyond the aforementioned armour parasite glitch. As has been suggested in my Doctor Constantinou mod, porting this to Zeta is a no-brainer. If there is demand for other outfit swaps I can certainly do that, though if you only want to use Skull Face's head you'll have to go to CapLagRobin's original mod for that, who is both free to use my model and my dirt-mapping (please leave them an endorsement and show them some love for their work). I am considering looking into Skull Face's voice lines, both used and unused, to fully bring him to life as a playable character, and I am also considering tweaking PresidentSears' mod for the Mare's Leg to make gameplay match the cutscenes; though both these undertakings will be a lot of work. Beyond that I am working on making the Silent Basilisk playable for the first time (with some surprises) thanks to Majima Ocelot's comment; so, please feel free to make requests.
