this mod significantly reduces sniper ai sight ranges, making them better fit within the small spaces of fobs, because in actuality, the sniper ai was not boosted for fob, it was just not changed at all. while in singleplayer, sniper enemies are hardly used and mostly all in specific spaces that actually make sense in the environment, fob snipers are crammed into tight platforms with almost no wiggle room to try and maneuver around them. this leads to alot of instaspots and stupid moments since they use the exact same ai that was normally intended for much bigger, open space environments.
this will make the ai possible to react to, giving the player room to correct themselves if they make a small mistake, rather than spelling instant doom. this does not make sniper fobs a complete joke as they can still see you if you go running around or do anything REALLY stupid, but you can atleast move now without risk of instant unexpected failure. even as an fob veteran who could take sniper fobs easily if i wanted to, the stupid ai still annoys me and is also very restrictive and only really allows 1-2 playstyles otherwise instant failure.
this is technically a cheat, but all things considered if you actually want to cheat and cheese fobs you can find cheat tables with one google search, this is a rebalance intended for people who still want to actually play the fobs, but are tired of broken ai instaspots/restrictive playstyle options due to such broken ai.
if youd like to rebalance it more yourself to make it harder or even easier, you can easily open the lua file with notepad and edit the numbers, its quite straightforward.
it should also be noted this will affect singleplayer, as they use the same code (and thats the problem).
