Can I use this mod with CQC ADDENDUM? I'm trying to decide between CQC ADDENDUM and NO CQC CAMERA (CRASH FIXED) (SNAKEBITE VERSION) but if I can use this mod with CQC ADDENDUM I might have the solution
Im pretty sure it would work. I think there's almost no mod that conflicts with mine. In any case you can also try the zeta version (description) if it doesn't.
Looking at the videos of the zeta version, it appears that zeta does not remove the terrible camera zoom in when CQC throwing punching, etc.
I've watched the Zeta YouTube video and had to pause and zoom in on the settings he had. It was a bit hard to read, but it appeared. He had the camera effects off, but it was still zooming in. Just did not have slow motion.
In a perfect world, it maybe would be nice to have the brief second of slow mobile, that the NO CQC CAMERA mod leaves in. But i'm not sure.
Anyways super super happy, I found your mod!!! Most aspects of the game are incredibly well designed, but the jerky camera zooms are horrendous, and not enjoyable..The horse, one in particular is so bizarre
Which video do you mean? On the Zeta version page? Anyway the zeta version should be 100% the same as this version so it either might be a bug or a misunderstanding. Glad you enjoy the mod.

The slow mode doesn't bother me as much as the jerky camera.
I was talking about the zeta version of my mod, which would be https://www.nexusmods.com/metalgearsolidvtpp/mods/1697, link is in the description aswell. It's just a different way to get the same result and the zeta version has a menu where you can config the mod instead of a text file like this one. If you are already using zeta you might aswell install the zeta version though.
Oh ok! I'm downloading it now, after installing Zeta. I'm also download Alternate CQC Zeta, and i guess i will find out if the camera options in Alternate CQC Zeta cause a problem with the No Camera Animations Zeta
It's been a while since i played but when i did IH was compatible. In any case you can try the other version in the description see if it fixes it. You can also check the "ihhook_log" file in the game directory to see what's up.
I haven't tried the other versions but my only assumption is that since both mods try sending a message at startup they end up conflicting, like with "menu off" with infinite heaven and nuke camera animations finding the lua config file

I couldn't find any conflicting files, and yet with this and Zeta installed the camera angles this mod removes start activating again. I notice the game doesn't enter slomo when doing CQC moves still but things like throwing enemies or getting on D-Horse use their annoying camera angles again.
This and the Playstation icon replacement mod are the absolute BEST mods to get. The hijacked camera effect is SO annoying it's almost a game breaker. Your doing God's work Sir! Thank you!
one of the best mods for this game truly, people sometimes don't realise that taking something away can be even more beneficial than just adding things, and this is the proof of that. this mod, Alternate Camera - Splinter Cell camera mod, and disabled wind noises when sprinting mod are essential for me and make the game one of the most enjoyable games ever. thanks for making this.
You need to set the settings like in the vid (or higher) and then trigger slowmotion from a camera animation. Of which you only have 2 options, CQC disarm and CQC combo finish.

Ah if it's there all the time then my mod definitely doesn't take care of it. It only takes care of effects during camera animations. But i'll still look into removing it though.
