Not sure how you acquire models or edit them. But if you wanted to be closer to the butterfly picture, if possible, you can take the vest from your Bale mod and have that over the black vest. Otherwise I really love these mods russian outfits are some of my favorites.
Hey, can you make same outfit black top, afghanka legs but without helmet (but with xof balaclava) and make it would change mgs1 outfit instead of sneaking? Really like your work
I'm debating on using this mod as a baseline to replace all the Diamond Dogs fatigues. Like, making the camo change based on the camo you have equipped. So the outfit itself would be this one but like... the camo changes and stuff and I could add a ton of Soviet and Russian camos and stuff.
I could also probably make it so the helmet and balaclava change depending on the type of balaclava you have on. So the basic balaclava will just be a balaclava but the reinforced one will have the Altyn helmet on as well.
Just a thought, if there's a demand enough for this I'll do it probably.
Amazing outfit! Love a lot of the camos Used by the Soviet union and modern day Russia, and even the rest of the Warsaw Pact Countries. Also, are you using a mod to replace the soviets?
It's a WIP by Jim LaFleur, I just have a very very very early version of it cause I helped out a bit. I use it when I take screenshots because it grabs attention and makes it all look better.
The mod will release as soon as it's done, you can follow him on twitter to keep updated with it.
It's only my opinion, so don't get offended or sad: I think these mods are great, but, the best one was 'Chimera' from the 'Soviet Spetsnaz' mod. I think you should strive to something like that. The 'Chimera" skin is amazing: it looks appropriate to the war theme (overall military look) and I like the stealth aspect (black colour). I think it's hard to come up with something unique when you do a 'black-clad' skin, but, maybe, you could try, like, mixing the modern style and the style of Soviet Spetsnaz in the 80's. Or you could come up with something new, but what would fit in the setting and overall aesthetic.
I think pure black outfits are lame for a world as colorful as ours and the games, it makes you stick out like a sore thumb. You said yourself it's hard to come up with a unique outfit that uses only black, and I don't see what more I could make using the assets in game or the ones I have available to me. If you have a picture in mind of an idea or concept I'm all ears, but it's almost a running joke in many mod communities that you can come up with the most unique outfit that uses excellent color or does something new and all anyone is gonna ask for is "edgelord black" lol.
On the topic of black being used for stealth... it's not really effective hence why many militaries stopped using it outside of Urban areas. When it gets dark out, everything gets dark, camo included, so having a camo suited to the environment is more effective than having a black camo. If MGSV had more urban environments this would be a different story, but it's desert, jungle, and Savannah, black camo doesn't really work in any of these. Obviously these are mods and aesthetic comes first, but as I said, I'm just not a huge fan of the Chimera outfit and it's already released, if someone likes that outfit they *can* use it. I just have no new ideas for anything remotely similar.
I see. I get your point. Reading my message again, I apologize for asking you 'to come up with something new'. I understand how hard it's to come up with something unique, yet pleasing to the eye and fitting to the world (be it the real one or MGSV).
I'd like to wish you luck with your mods and I hope you will keep making them, as I like them a lot.
