No. Also that's hilarious!! It's a feature not a bug
On a serious note, which guns are you experiencing this with? I haven't seen that bug yet :S I'm not sure if it is possible if the game uses the exact same model for the throwable magazine as it does for the gun.
Which in itself is weird as the magazine model I replace is explicitly referred to as a throwable weapon.
Its the standard 55.6 caliber magazine on rifles that support it, such as the MRS-4. Not the double, extended, drums, or .223 magazines either, just the stock magazine for 55.6 rifles like the level 1 MRS-4 starts with. Other magazine item replacers, like one that's a rock for OSP playthroughs, have the same conflict issue. I guess that weapon attachment calls on the same asset files as the throwable item does for one reason or another.
I can do this, yes. I even have/had a model that does exactly that (more or less), but I decided for the current way as a trade-off between looking "ok" in the player's hand and actually being able to see both sides of the tape, physics be damned.
It's a technical issue with the magazine, as they land the exact same way each time, so if side B is flat on the ground, the player will only ever see the text written on Side A.
I see. thanks for the explanation : ) say would you mind releasing that flat-landing version as an optional d/l? I'd love to give that one a try if that's alright with you
I plan to :) This will take longer as I have to make sure I minimise conflicts with a few mods that edit the same file where the text/icon strings for the magazine is located.
