Followed everything step-by-step and files still show up in the cassette menu but won't play - the suggested fix is to set Vorbis Quality High to default in WWise.
I have done this, checked it, rechecked it, and so on, eight times at this point, and I have followed both the instructions and the YouTube step by step. No dice.
I have to conclude that the current version of Ground Zeroes is somehow preventing this from working. Too bad!
Ground Zeroes hasn't been since Phantom Pain released, two years ago. This tool is admittedly very, very delicate. My guess is there's a step in the process that I didn't clarify enough during the video.
I tried a hail mary that worked... I deleted the most recent WWise install, went back to the old 2014 64-bit WWise install and went through the whole thing again, and presto, it worked out. How that would change a single thing, I have no idea.
Ah that would make sense, glad you got it working. Wwise updates their formats occasionally, which can cause problems when working on old games. Using the 2014 version must have a particular Vorbis Quality High format compatible with GZ.
I added your report to the Known Issues list, thanks for figuring that one out!
Hi Guys! I have a problem! I see my tracks in the list, but they dont play! I have converted the wav to wem and with Vorbis Quality High setting, but is not work have anyone a Idea? (Sorry for my bad english, iam german)

Hey everyone im having an issue where i do everything correct i put the files in the right folders then i run the music tool it says the mp3 need frames or something but in the end the process says successful but when i try to remount the grs tool crashes and i have know clue what to do any help on this would be much appreciated.
I've followed all of the steps exactly and I have encountered a problem. The song is in the game, but when I choose to play it, it seems like it's about to play but finishes in a split second. Like it's a file with a split second of silence. What could cause this?
Yeah, I'm having issues with this, it just loads the company names and remains black when they're finished. Doesn't load the main menu, just the company logos then infinite black screen. Tried it a few times, did the same, rolled back the game, it crashed that time, tried it again, still didn't work. Help?
I'm not sure what the problem is, but after following all steps and repacking the file GZ isn't starting properly instead only going to the first loading screen and staying there indefinitely; it could be because I've added to many tracks (Its something like 150) but some help would be brilliant; I have also repeated the process a few times achieving the same result.
Hi, I followed exactly your tutorial step by step, seemed to work fine (no error in the process) but when I launch the game, the custom music won't show up, letting me with the default music. Any ideas?
I'm on Windows 8.1 64-bit
By the way, I didn't have all tapes unlocked (like ZoE for example) And I also made sure that special characters such as - would not cause problems.
Please help me, I tried everything I could but the music will stay default. I'm kinda desperate lol
EDIT: The problem comes from the CustomMusicTool.exe, just flashes for a fraction of sec when i launch it, seemed to happen to others from what i've seen on Youtube. No description on how to solve the matter however.
OK figured it out. The problem was indeed coming from Java on Windows 8.1 64-bit. I had to update manually from the website. If anyone has crashes during the repacking of the data02 file, check in the wem file, there may be a file causing trouble (mine was The Fury's theme from MGS3), delete it and start over. Works now thank you! Keep up the good work!

Here's a quick run-through of using the tool. Please excuse the audio and commentary.
