hi avaresst! can you help me? What program should I use to edit textures and what compression format should I use? Should I create mip-maps? Because I edit, replace and the game hangs when loading. I understand you use the CtxrTool program to convert ctxr format?
yep, i personally primarily use CtxrTool. i use the .DDS format, so i have photoshop and the Nvidia DDS plugin installed for it. i usually do mipmaps but ive found that they can cause a few problems (crashes) on certain textures, mainly a few UI stuff. i dont think theyre honestly that necassary on this game. i personally found that if the game hangs its usually only when i first installed the textures im working on.
what u mean when talk about first installed the textures im working on? What should I do to make the game not freeze after installing modified textures? load alpha as channel instead of transparency? whether to control the color?

i wasnt planning on updating or patching this mod until like next christmas maybe, but this has been such a popular request that im willing to put that in in the coming days
