This mod works closest to intended when using the default High Frequency Blade. Others work fine but it becomes obvious they occasionally fade out. Perhaps Raiden's Lightning hides the High Frequency Blade well.
It is not quite a full moveset with forward+forward+light/heavy being absent along with forward+back+light/heavy.
Hold X does Sam's slam your head into the ground move. It can be held indefinitely but it sends you forward without any option to aim. Sadly it works poorly on Sam himself. Seen in image 5, I couldn't pull off that screenshot myself.
All bosses appear to be defeatable. So far I've tested Blade Wolf, Mistral, Sam, Excelsius, and Armstrong. I see no reason it wouldn't work on the other two.
You are slower than you are with your sword by a medium-small margin. I don't think this mod is viable above easy or normal even if you are good. Your range is also lessened especially for light attacks.
I haven't nailed all the combos yet but there are some good ones. They appear to a mix of Raiden during Armstrong, Armstrong himself, and Jetstream Sam's moves.
There's a taunt in one combo but I can't figure out which combo it is, it also just leaves you open without actually giving a taunt effect. There was also this super cool one where I jumped diagonally through the air and swung my leg but I have no idea how I did it, this is seen in screenshot 10 I think.
Ripper mode works just fine.
PS: Please post the combo list if you have it and figure it out.
hey man just wondering where did you find all these animations? i searched up the whole pl folder and found no unarmed animations, or scripted event animations, or the special weapons body anims, it would be nice to know where they are and how to get them
Pause attacks don't appear to work. Hold Light - Sam slam, same properties as the default sheathe attack. Back Forward Light - Taunt, deals psychic damage to multiple enemies over a wide area. Forward Forward Light - knocks enemies down. Strong Light Strong - Somersault. Strong Strong Light Strong - Forward kick. Strong Strong Strong Light Strong - Monsoon kick. Strong Strong Strong Strong - Million kick. Back Forward Strong - slow kick that auto stuns regular enemies? Forward Forward Strong - Jetstream kick. 360 Strong - terrible forward jumping kick that sucks to aim. Air Forward Strong - Killer Bee. Ninja run Light - No. Ninja run Strong - Slide. Strong after hitting with Slide - Monsoon launcher that I for some reason didn't actually bother to make launch enemies into the air.
Actually there are much better unarmed mods now, use one of those.
How does one go about doing something like this? I unpacked the files but have no idea how to put them in a readable format to then cause an effect like this. Would you be willing to share how you did this? No guides of any decent quality exist for script modding. :/
Sorry can't really help with that, I just tediously swapped animation files around until I worked out which was which. MGR modding seems to have taken off while I was gone though so maybe someone else on here can help.
i've seen on the youtube video with guy and he can insta kill all enemies with sam taunt in raiden campaign in the description written "mod:Unarmed"anybody know how i can do this? P.s sorry for my english i'm from russian
