Honestly I thought of doing that. But feels boring for most of the public, and for me; that thing happened with Jack's Alternative Moveset version 2. I made a general showcase video for Windbreaker Raiden, feels pretty entertaining for me and more interesting for the public. So I'm not gonna do it, sorry. You still have all the changes written in the description of the mod.
Bro just read the description. And of course it's not compatible with Let's Dance Moveset, they use the same file. It's impossible to combine them 100% without Style Switcher. For example, Let's Dance moveset uses vanilla stormbringer (all directions + heavy attack), mine uses Sam's light + light + heavy charged attack for stormbringer. So there's a conflict on that too.
If you mean perfect parry, it's harder to do them, since parries are cancellable earlier, pressing other input or parry input again will cancel the first parry. That way, if you spam parry it's most likely you're gonna get hit. So you gotta have better timings. It's not something I can change. I had to decide between longer but tedious parries, since you're unable to attack, or faster parries with shorter blocking times.
I tried the mod out, and it's great (: The only problem I'm encountering is that Raiden sometimes gets hit during Defensive Offense (the forward attack in particular). I'm not entirely sure if it's a quirk with DO itself or it's something caused by the mod, but will there be a change to it?
This mod have the invencibility frames of Defensive Offensive reduced (in all directions) to balance it. Otherwise, since it's cancellable earlier, you could be invincible almost all the time. So you need to time it better, you get it with practice. Forward defensive offensive is the one with the less i-frames overall, since you're not actually dodging in the animation and it's also the fastest one to cancel, I thought it would make more sense to do that. I could release a version with vanilla i-frames, but idk if I'll do that right now.
That seems to make sense, thank you. I do think that the timing is a bit too "late"(?) I find that most of the times I got hit were because I dodged right as a hit would've connected.
Would be great if you could make a version of this where Raiden has Sam's idle and walk anims since this mod overrides the Let's Dance mod so now Raiden just has the default idle + walk
If you want, you can do that by simply unpacking both .dat s and swapping idle and walk animations and then repacking. The thing is, since Raiden animations end up to transition to vanilla idle position, it's gonna look pretty weird if you swap them. Remember that Let's Dance Moveset has attack anims that end up on Sam's idle pose.
Offers some amazing replayability, and is just the kind of mod I've been waiting for! Doesn't completely break with other mods either (aside from a couple things it works perfectly fine with custom ripper colours and even hip sheath) Only thing I noticed is that Raiden's Sam charged attack can't be maneuvered and no longer cuts objects. I wonder if it'd be possible to copy the Sam version a bit more literally so that it can do so Either way, this mod is just what I needed!
Great to hear this! Thanks! About Sam's Charged attack, I tried to copy his style for maneuvering directions, but sadly that's probably not possible without coding :(. Maybe when I get to coding I'll fix that.
