@magnumforceGB, obviously no amount of +1s and reminders will make you update this on any other time than your own, but here's the customary +1 for the YAML compatibility, if at all possible.
Your mod is amazing and really highly impactful for immersion, whereas YAML grew to be an almost customary base at this point - one needed in order to play with such modifications as 'Battletech 3015' for instance, which nails that sense of slower, more deliberate, TT-like gameplay without being a mega-overhaul.
EDIT: reading your description more thoroughly now it seems to be that it is YAML that needs to get compatibility going on its own side. If so, fair enough and fingers crossed.
For those interested, it seems that the mod does work when given priority over YAML, however YAML then seems to bug out on some features - one I have spotted is that torso counter rotation keybind doesn't work.
GoldenDarknezz, you've just provided a textbook example of a completely screwed up load order. Reset it to default and quit messing with things you don't understand.
Any chance of an update for this mod to give an option to reduce/remove smoke from destroyed mech parts? Even with the gibs at 0 a crit produces so much smoke that if you are nearby it tanks performance (not an issue in vanilla but running with the new VR mod there are noticeable dips). I consider this an essential mod, it just makes dying so damn cool
The update for DLC 5 has been released and the new reactor explosion mechanics are a lot more CPU friendly than before. Before I would hit 20 FPS when a mech exploded, now my Asus Ally doesn't even get a single frame drop from it.
This update will come with DLC 5, I built it off the early access editor so its already referencing things from DLC5. To get the eject warning to show up, I had to override the HUD asset. If you have a mod that uses that asset, just set it to override this mod.

I'm going to try to get this to use the MW5 Comp Mod to have parts that other modders can plug in to get the effects.
I've integrated it into MW5 Mod Compatibility Pack so other modders should be able to use their derived mechs and implement the eject sequence and explosion parts. I've added 2 settings to the mod now, "Gib 'Mechs on reactor explosion" is a boolean that if you disable, the mechs won't explode. The other is "Gib 'Mech parts lifetime (Seconds)", how long the mech parts will last on the level before they disappear. Setting this to 0 will let them last until the level clears.
