About this mod

Adds an approximation of the Rifleman III, as engineered by the madman Stefan Amaris during the Amaris Civil War.

(Standalone version, recommend using YAISM version instead)

Now also in Yet Another IS Mech - https://www.nexusmods.com/mechwarrior5mercenaries/mods/964
Assets are uniquely named, so you can run together, but I'd recommend switching over to the YAISM version (STRIP ANY YOU MAY HAVE PRIOR TO DEACTIVATING THIS ONE, IT WILL DISAPPEAR)

Decided to have a crack at making a mech. Settled on the Rifleman III, for some reason. Based from a rescale of the standard Rifleman, utilising the YAML mod suite to bring it to life!

For those unfamiliar with this absurdity, the usurper Stefan Amaris, while he was ruining the Star League in 2776, decided he wanted some fancy mechs. Some didn't work, others did function. The Rifleman III was once such mech. The RF-2A was an upsized Rifleman, weighing in at 90 Star League tons, and sporting four gauss rifles, as well as the Null Signature System (NSS) stealth system - at the cost of very mediocre armour, a truly miserable XL180 engine (you aren't overtaking that urbie) and a sparse two tons of ammunition, as well as no backup weapon systems to fall back on.

Despite these shortcomings, as well as being a prototype rushed onto the battlefield, it performed exceptionally well, recording 9 kills of SLDF BattleMechs before being destoyed.

In game, this is a Hero Mech - you'll need to luck out and hope someone has located the 'Mech and is selling it. Other mods may introduce additional acquisition methods.
Requires YAML. Highly recommended to have YAEC (Equipment Collection) to have the correct loadout, and YASV (Special Variants) for full quirk suite.

Known issues:
Overtonnage default loadout - working with the constraints I had, while keeping it as close to lore-friendly as possible, I had to fudge the numbers.

Unknown issues:
Probably some, it is my first real MW5 mod.

Thanks to cszolee79 and trueg for YAML, and trueg again for the tutorials that made it possible for me to put this mod together at all.
