The bangers just keep coming! Well done, great mech, great you.
I'd pitch you that it does feel a little weird not having two slots on the left arm MW4-style, despite the BattleTech canonization. I mean look at the wallpaper! :) You should throw a variant in that has them for that truly MW4:M experience.
Still, you're killing it. Looking forward to that Vulture MK2!
I totally agree! I also prefer the two lasers on the left arm. Unfortunately, the TRO for the Hellcat stated it's an ER Large Laser so I had to go with that. see here:
If you have access to a list of the MW4 variant (weapon loadout, heatsinks, engine, equipment, armor and structure allocation) then I'll look into making a MW4 variant with the two lasers.
Indeed, but there was a little more flexibility in terms of sizes that allowed one to make sense of the in-game model. As per Caratar:
As a refresher, blue = "direct fire"/"semi-omni" (ballistic or beam but not missile), yellow = ballistic, red = beam, green = missile:
So again with the number of available slots from this ole configuration, you could do things that make more sense for the model:
I think there's room for a VERY MW4-style hero which retains at least multiple slots on the LA, but you could even go nuts with the direct-fire slots in YAML and even those RT ballistics.
If you look in the record sheet section of Rec Guide 30, it details the Conjurer 6, which is the predecessor to the Hellcat (and seems to be described is being visually quite similar). The Conjurer 6 has a weapons layout that matches the original MW4 artwork. It has an ERPPC and ERML in the right torso, an LRM10 in the left torso, two ERML in the left arm, and an ERMPL in the right arm.
Curious if you've given more consideration to adding the 2 laser version? It would be really awesome to see. You're putting out some awesome mods and it's pretty obvious you've got a lot of great stuff you're already working on, so it's certainly understandable if it's not a priority.
Anyway, thanks again for all the efforts you've put into modding MW5. It is sincerely appreciated.
I don't know if anyone else has noticed this issue with any of your other Classics mods, but the "YAML" version isn't that. The unzipped folder does not designate it as a YAML version, just vanilla. I've noticed this same issue with several other classics mods: Warhawk, Hellcat, Mad Dog, Summoner, Hellbringer (not Ultimate), and Marauder. Wanted to let you know, since it doesn't seem to be all of them, just certain ones that have this mismatch.
I love the mech, once I figured out what was causing the issue. I read where you are expecting a little, congratulations, and I hope that everything goes well.
Just an FYI, as this doesn't seem intentional. Apparently in October of 3020, the pirates that took Capt. Shenzeng prisoner were apparently working for the obnoxious canaries of the periphery? Just fought and acquired a Jade Falcon painted Hellcat (legged the damn thing and it'd still cost me 4 MILLION just to repair it . . . let's me know what my challenging financial settings will bring me by the 3050s). I'm going to reload and not salvage it, because this was supposed to be my lore-friendly career, but for the sake of screen shots to report the bug I picked it up. Hopefully it's not too difficult to fix.
Okay. Fair enough. I hadn't downloaded it because I don't like the old versions of some of the clan mechs and Marauder, and don't really want the overlap with the MWO versions in YACM. I mean no offense, because the work is still excellent for -and is beloved by- those whose tastes it fits, it's just not my preferred visuals of those chassis. Therefore I only use the Behemoth and Hellcat. I completely understand not wanting multiple versions of every mech mod you've put out there, so I wouldn't even push to ask. I will have to ponder how I will finally decide to handle it. That's on me, not you.
Regardless, the work you've put in is still incredible and seeing this chassis in MW5 is sincerely appreciated.
Hi, Love your mech mods, thanks for your effort and hard work. Is there a way to cheat yourself a mech into the cold storage (without using the mech delivery option)? Wanted to start another campaign with the hellcat instead of the Centurion, but I can't since I can only access the mech market after leaving the Deberry system after the first few missions.
works fine for me. just did it 5 minutes ago. be sure to use this version and create mod cache https://www.nexusmods.com/mechwarrior5mercenaries/mods/4

SankaraSamsara you spoil us. Cheers!

is the cockpit glass meant to be purple?
On the pics here it seems transparent or brownish.
Is there any way I can change it off purple or is this a conflict?
Also keep up the good work

Anyway, still a great chassis, and thank you for the efforts you've put into improving MW5.

I remember that you need to integrate mods via an xml file (at least it was a couple of years back?)
